Slumber Realm is out now on Steam! View game page This game was four years in the making (a bit more, but who's counting). I almost wrote "Slumber Realm is done!", but that wouldn't be true. A game like this is never really done. At some point you stop working on it, when people

Moving & Groovin We finally added character animation to the game! This was a big challenge due to how our artwork is built. We don't use traditional pixels or polygons (well, they are technically pixels and polygons in the end but not at the level that matters). All our batt
Introducing... the HOLY MOLY update for Slumber Realm! This update is all about JUICE. Confusing, right? We aren't talking about the apple or orange variety of juice. We are talking about the esoteric art of GAME JUICE. What makes a game feel really good ? There are a huge variet

Playtesters I don't think it's possible to make a game like Slumber Realm without the support of playtesters. Every week in the Discord server, playertesters post ridiculous things that I didn't think were possible. Like doing 33,554,433 damage in a single hit. How is that possib
Achievements Achievements are super fun when implemented well. They should do a variety of things. They should help the player learn the game initially, they should guide the player to trying a variety of content, and they should introduce interesting challenges. It was my goal i

Slumber Realm releases on November 4th, 2026 ! I started this project 4 years ago right before the birth of my son. It turns out that it takes the same amount of time to create a video game as it does a 4 year old child. My feelings about making this release date announcement inc

All the best games have one thing in common: They received a ton of feedback from players before release. Over time, I've had plenty of people play the game live with me on a Discord call and give feedback. But what the game needs now is people to go deep. I need to know what is
Howdy, the Slumber Realm demo has received another big update! I'd like to introduce you to the Brain Sheriff . Ok, I'll admit this may seem totally random but there is a method to the madness. You see, your brain is what helps you regulate your emotions. The resources in Slumber
