GaugeDB: your independent Steam database
GaugeDB is a free, independent database for exploring Steam games. It brings together public game information, observed player counts, regional Steam prices, sale events, releases and recorded game updates. GaugeDB does not sell game keys, host downloads or represent Valve or Steam.
What agents can find
Use Discover to find a game by its name, then follow the canonical GaugeDB game link instead of guessing an app ID or slug. Player Charts compares available observations, Sales covers recorded regional prices and announced Steam events, Releases lists collected release information, and Game Changes records public changes seen over time. The sitemap lists current public pages and game records.
How to interpret the data
GaugeDB records observations at different times for different data types. Keep the displayed timestamp, country, currency, units and source with every factual claim. A missing value is not zero. Recorded player peaks and price lows describe the history GaugeDB has collected and may not be lifetime records. Release dates and prices can change, so confirm current purchase details on Steam.
Agent access and trust
Public pages also support an explicit Markdown representation when a request prefers text/markdown. Read the agent instructions before automated access, respect the published exclusions and do not sign in or retrieve personal account data. Learn who GaugeDB is on the About page, use the Contact page for corrections or rights enquiries, and read the Privacy page for information-handling details.
