What GaugeDB is
GaugeDB is a free, independent website for exploring Steam games. It brings together public game information, observed player counts, regional prices, sale events, releases and recorded updates so people can find and compare the details that matter to them.
GaugeDB does not sell game keys, host game downloads or process Steam purchases. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Valve or Steam. Purchases, downloads, account settings and final availability remain with Steam and the relevant publisher.
How the data works
Game details, prices and player counts primarily come from Steam. Some historical catalogue and player records come from the sources named in GaugeDB’s data notices. Streaming information can come from Twitch, Kick and YouTube. Source coverage varies, and each data type is collected on its own schedule.
A missing value is not zero. Recorded peaks and price lows describe the observations GaugeDB has available and may not cover a game’s entire lifetime. Country, currency, source and observation time should stay attached to any figure. Current prices, release details and availability should be confirmed with Steam before acting on them.
Public access and accounts
Most GaugeDB information is available without an account. Steam sign-in is optional and is used for saved games, collections, follows and alerts. Steam handles the sign-in itself, so GaugeDB does not receive a Steam password. Personal account pages and profile-specific results are not public agent content.
