Keep and revisit your worlds The full game's Library now includes The Annals of Worlds. Finished ages and ages replaced by a new world retain their Saga pages and links to later ages. The menu also shows the current saved age. From an archived page, prepare another world, copy a
Fire and spells Rivers now slow the spread of fire across them. Wider rivers slow it more than small streams. Fire can still reach the other bank. Town walls now reduce fire spreading into a town. Fire can still get through. Abandoned walls keep some protection while they remain
Your towns grow into cities now — big enough to run into one another — and a city reads as the same place from the far map as it does from the street. Cities grow properly big, and neighbours grow into each other. A city used to stop growing long before it ran out of room — its c
A small patch, and all of it is speed. The world steps faster at every speed you can set, big cities no longer hitch as you glide in toward them from the far map, and the card that names an animal now lands on the animal you can see. Nothing about the world itself changed — the s
Your hand is in the world now: the towns ask you for works and raise them themselves, blessings rest on the things you touch, four new powers join the bar, and towns grow into their land instead of arriving full-grown. You can ask a town for a work. Walk among your people, name t
In “The Raising” a town learned to build something together. This update is about who else is out there while it does — the world's animals, ten kinds of them that were designed a long time ago and never let in. Ten more kinds of animal live in the world now. Pigs and donkeys in
In “The Founding” you arrived early enough to watch the first towns take hold. This update is about what those towns do next — they decide to build something, and the whole street turns out for it. A town raises its own works, and the street turns out to them. A well or a granary
This update ships early, and honestly: a save made while zoomed all the way in could fail to load in v0.44 — silently, so it looked like the Continue button did nothing. That is fixed, and it could not wait for the rest of the week's work. A save made up close loads again. If you
The longest gap between updates ends with the biggest change this world has had: it founds, it burns, and it endures the way it was always meant to. Towns return, for the whole saga. The world used to stop making places after its first century and a half — on The Long Winter the
It has been two weeks since the last build went up, and rather longer since the worlds in it started feeling emptier than they should. Those two facts turn out to be the same fact. So instead of a changelog, here is the whole of it: what went wrong, how we found out, what is alre
The last stretch went into three things that are easy to describe and hard to build: making the world look like somewhere, letting the people in it speak to you, and finally letting you keep what you see. The world found its colour. Twenty-four pigments. Every small thing on the
The world carries more colour while you simply watch it, and the family you follow no longer dresses like everyone else. A resting tone for the land. The richer colour and depth that photo mode brought no longer waits for photo mode. The view you read for hours now carries a gent
Ages that span the centuries instead of crowding into the first of them, snow that finally smothers fire, and colour in the smallest standing things. The ages take their time. The world always held nine ages of dwelling, from the first hut to the standing spire — but six of them
A screen that fits, panels that remember where home is, and a countryside that found its rivers again. The screen you choose. Visuals now opens with a single Display mode — Windowed, Fullscreen (Borderless) or Fullscreen (Native) — and a Resolution beside it. Fullscreen (Native)
The first hour retold, a faster world, and a truer touch. The first hour, retold. The guided opening has been rebuilt end to end. Its lessons now come in the order a god's hand actually moves, and each one stands beside the thing it teaches instead of on top of it — every arrow h
There has been no update for a week, and that is deliberate. What is being built underneath is the largest single change since Early Access began, and it cannot land in pieces. Here is what is coming, what is left, and one thing worth knowing before it arrives. The land became a
The last update gave your people a plea worth answering. This one fixes the part where you could not get to them. Your hand reaches the one who is asking. If a soul called to you from far outside your cities, you could not select her, and Comfort would not land — every click fell
When someone in your world asked for help, they had usually stopped needing it before you could reach them. This release changes what they ask for. They ask about what they cannot mend alone. A hungry soul goes and eats — that was never a prayer, it was an errand, and it was fini
v0.34.0 gave your world a face you could read. v0.35.0 is about the people living in it — where they are going, and how they get there. They come home. A soul who sets out now has somewhere to arrive, stays a while when she gets there, and turns back for her own hearth. Before th
v0.34.0 is about looking at your world and understanding it. Six things were wrong with what you saw; all six are fixed. Every city is its own. Each place now carries a colour drawn from the tradition of the region it stands in — neighbours read as kin, and no two of them are ali
