I have updated the Beta to Version 3.4.
Terrain Update
After my terrain stress-testing, I am almost completely, pretty darn, mostly confident that we will not see any more terrain discrepancies. I found 3 potential causes for the problems, and have either fixed them directly, or in one case, forced the terrain to restart when encountered. In any case, it should be considerably more stable than the previous version.
The Escape Clause
Also addressed is the escape key issue. A kind player had pointed out that the escape key was causing the game to exit prematurely. This was only happening before you started a new game, or loaded a previously saved game, but it has been fixed. Currently, the escape key does not do anything until after you load a game. I may add the functionality to exit open menus, as it does once your game is loaded.
Storage Cache
The storage cache on your spaceship should be more stable now. I found a potential cause for its missing items. I did notice that one slot was not working properly, so there may be some issues remaining with this feature. The items were properly placed, and could be removed successfully, but the item's image would not be seen in one slot (third slot in the top row). I will be investigating this problem further.
New Bug!
I also noticed a new bug. If you load or start a game, then load another game while on the spaceship, it will load, but the game may not function correctly. I normally don't do this, I would only load a game at the beginning, or after dying of suffocation or some other hazard on a planet, so this type of loading was not properly tested. For now, if you need to load a saved game, it's best to restart Star Explorers.
