You should now be able to successfully erase old saved games and start a new game with the same name. Sorry for not getting to this sooner, it was totally broken for a while. But it always flew under my radar for some reason...
This very small update addresses an issue when players pressed the "take all" button. Previously, it would play a sound for each item being taken, which could produce a very loud sound when many items were taken. Now it will only play the sound once, restoring the volume to norma
