Developer posts and news about this game.
Started to expand the underground subway. Currently a known crash bug on one of the escalators. Lots of animation updates. More variety, styles and speeds of zombie animations. Ice Cream Lady now has her proper locomotion set. Pavarotty now has his singing performance animation l
Carousel added to menu area. Spawns randomly
Nixie Clock Timer added. 666 seconds maximum, top it up with accurate headshots. Drop into grave fixed on start.
Behind the green door you can get a sneak preview of the Theatre level. There are some minor known bugs in this version. Drop into grave is currently broken.
Navmesh for cemetery didn't generate in previous patch, now fixed
Railings added to cemetery sub level 2 to give it more corridor type gameplay Demons now turn the world black and white
Shaders compiled with Vulkan SM5 support
Performance update to reduce transparency overdraw. Player Blood HUD no longer rendered when health is 100%. Previously it rendered a fully transparent mesh all the time. Hints and Tips widget only rendered when visible. Previously it rendered blank text at all times.
Main Menu has been optimised. It should now run more than twice as fast. Also added full on Snap Turn options to the control settings. You can choose between 30, 45 and 90 degree snap turns. I thoroughly recommend NOT using it :) But it's there for those that want it.
Post process volumes set to no raytracing. In theory this shouldn't make a difference but it seems as though the project settings are being overridden by them. Death should now fade to black. Less Hazmat zombies in cemetery.
Shader pre-draw and pre-caching enabled
A small patch to fix the Valve Index startup position not resetting
Added a few different options for launching the game. It all seems to be working as far as I can see. So you should have at least one option that will work for you. There is still an issue with Valve Index where the headset doesn't reset it's position on starting the game. PLEASE
Patch to attempt to fix OpenXR issue
It appears that some people on newer hardware are struggling with performance compared to older hardware. Somehow DirectX12 has re-enabled itself in the build settings. I've disabled it again and hopefully that should fix it....if not, please let me know in the Bug Report tab on
Demons are in. Early stages, lots of work still to do on them. Audio effect added when key spawns. I need to limit the range on that.
Modular Zombies added for more variety. I've been bashing my head against the desk trying to get this to stop crashing all week. I've nailed the problem down to one of the modular types, which is now disabled, when that get's fixed it will be added too.
As the long term followers will know, you can get your name in the game with your very own personalised 'fan gravestone'. These are offered to people who go out of their way to help promote the game and offer feedback and suggestions in the Community Hub and on the Facebook Page.
Valve Index support has now been added!!! It turned out to be a much bigger job than I was expecting. It transpired that the main menu where you start the game was not OpenXR compatible which meant that some players were facing 90 degrees the wrong way. I have tested this patch w
Added a new menu system. You can access this via the left Oculus Touch Menu/Home button. The menu itself is still very much work in progress but it does give you a lot of graphics options to enable you to increase frame rate vs quality. The anti-aliasing settings certainly can ma
