I was planning to release this patch on the beta branch before sending it live, but there was a couple of bugs, already fixed in this build, that ended up causing problems in the 1.2.2 branch that was released earlier in the week. So! I went ahead and pushed this branch live as w
Merchants have been re-enabled in this build along with procedural NPC towns! They're still pretty basic, but it opens up a lot of opportunities for creating different kinds of NPCs. I've been crazy busy! This patch was ready days ago, but I kept finding little bugs the more I wa
Thank you to everyone that has posted a bug report or sent one in from the in-game console. I have tracked down and corrected around two dozen bugs for this patch, as well as added in a number of safety fallbacks for things that could otherwise cause a server disconnect, or in-ga

Believe it or not, I've been working on this game for 10 years now! What started as a dream from someone with no prior experience coding or working with Unity, certainly not in the gaming industry, has grown considerably with this latest patch. In all honesty, parts of Solace Cra
Big patch up on beta right now that I've been working on for a long time. I was hoping to have it cleaned up for the start of the Steam Summer Sale, but I need 1 more day with it. Mostly just testing, optimization, and a little wiring. I wanted to get a blurb up though to make su
I've tried to gather and address all the recent bug reports. There are some "problems" that need improving still for sure, but I think I've got all the actual errors sorted out with this 3rd patch. The facility loading and saving bugs were persisting against my initial fixes but
Had a nasty bug to go with the new systems that was making facility slots not interact properly after being saved and loaded. I had a busy start to the week and wasn't able to get on top of this until today. Sorry it ended up sitting for a few days. There are a few smaller proble

Hello everyone, and welcome to the ninth Producer’s Letter for Solace Crafting. I’m Fab and today will be yet another dense producer’s letter, as a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes, so let’s get into it. A quick recap We previously discussed the plans and work in p
Hey folks, Had a bit of an asset mishap bringing stuff into SC that wasn't supposed to be there. Not just that it doesn't fit the art style, but it was not built to work with the same systems so was popping up lots of harmless but annoying error warnings. I've rolled the patch ba
This patch brings in the full capabilities that we've been working on with Solace Builder into Solace Crafting. I still haven't had the chance to check every item, and every feature, but regardless, it's always safer to upload any major changes onto the beta branch and give some
Hello everyone, Fab here! Today marks the release of v0.2 of the Solace Builder demo, which we've prioritized working on over the past few months. It's a considerable update from the initial release in that it contains a lot more function and a lot more content. While the first v
Hope everyone had a good week! It seems like Black Friday is a week long event now almost everywhere. It's certainly been a busy week for me! I've uploaded a small patch to the beta branch fixing a rendering error causing floating islands to go invisible. I've got family in town
Hello everyone, and welcome to the seventh Producer’s Letter for Solace Crafting. I’m Fab. Today marks a return to this tradition after a brief pause managing real life and its complexities, such as grief, particularly at the passing of pets. I would personally like to extend my

Greetings fellow adventurers! Kyle here! The Autumn Sale is upon us! And it's time we've had an update on what's been happening and what's going on. First off, I have to come clean about a few things. I know I mentioned this a bit last month, but I went completely broke a while b
Small patch for what we're still currently calling the beta branch. We'll have some changes to the way these are being managed very shortly, in part to also start bringing patches back to the live branch of SC. I have to give a little speech about where I've been for the past cou
