A new update is now live for Polygon Bit Battle Royale, focused on improving the looting experience, map balance, visuals, and overall performance.
🎒 Looting System & Map Rework
We have fully reworked the loot elements placed across all maps and buildings.
The total number of loot elements has been reduced by approximately 50% across the maps.
Loot distribution has been redesigned to make finding good equipment more challenging and rewarding.
Players can no longer get fully equipped too quickly after landing.
Finding the exact weapons and equipment you need now requires more exploration.
Loot groups have been rebalanced so that two weapons can no longer appear in the same loot group.
These changes are designed to make progression during each match more important. Exploring buildings, moving through the map, and searching for better equipment should now feel much more rewarding instead of allowing players to become heavily equipped immediately after landing.
🌊 Forbidden City Visual Improvements
The Forbidden City map has received improvements to its distant visuals.
Fog and far-distance water blending have been reworked, greatly improving the view from the airplane and while parachuting into the battlefield.
The surrounding ocean now blends much more naturally into the horizon, giving the map a cleaner and more impressive aerial view.

Major Visual & Audio Overhaul Update A new major update has arrived for Polygon Bit Battle Royale focused on improving the overall atmosphere, visual identity, and gameplay feel. This update completely reworks the game's post-processing and screen effects to create a much mor
Major Visual & Audio Overhaul Update
A new major update has arrived for Polygon Bit Battle Royale focused on improving the overall atmosphere, visual identity, and gameplay feel.
This update completely reworks the game's post-processing and screen effects to create a much more beautiful and immersive low-poly style. Maps now have a cleaner cinematic look with updated lighting moods and redesigned skyboxes that better match each environment’s colors and theme.
The airplane intro sequence has also been improved with a new dynamic camera FOV (85 instead of 45), giving a stronger sense of scale and making the island flyover feel far more intense and immersive.
Audio & Movement Improvements
Character movement has been heavily polished with completely remade sound effects for:
Walking
Running
Jumping
Falling
Crouching
Movement now feels smoother, more fluid, and more satisfying overall.
Footstep audio has also been redesigned to improve positional awareness. Enemy movement can now be heard much more clearly at the correct distance, improving combat readability and tension during fights.
Gunfire sounds were additionally polished to provide a stronger sense of near and distant combat across the battlefield.
Visual & Store Page Improvements
The game’s Steam page capsules and promotional poster artwork have also been updated with improved art and presentation to better match the new visual direction of the game.
Optimization
The overall game build size has also been reduced from 1.9 GB to 1.6 GB, improving download size and storage usage.

Added ambient occlusion on FPS weapons & hands for a richer visual experience

Added automatic reloading
Ammo is now used automatically — no more inventory management needed → Just reload or fire and play
Grenades are now auto-equipped when picked up

🏆 Leaderboard Improvements
Fixed the Steam leaderboard display: it now correctly shows the global community leaderboard, ranked from best score to lowest.
The in-game leaderboard now displays 30 entries around your current rank, making it much easier to see where you stand without scrolling through massive data.
🔫 Reload System Clarified
Reload UI now shows mags left instead of confusing total bullets.
Reloading now behaves realistically: if you reload with bullets still in the mag, that mag is discarded and replaced with a full one. This makes reload decisions more tactical and removes the confusion some players experienced.
💉 Healing Improvements
Healing no longer stops when moving or shooting.
Healing speed has been increased for smoother gameplay.
🗺️ Maps & General Fixes
Multiple improvements across maps.
Minor bugs fixed and UI refinements.

This update is 100% based on your feedback, and it brings some important improvements to make the game more fun, fair, and immersive.
🤖 New Bots Difficulty Menu (Offline Mode)
You can now choose how tough the bots are from the settings menu:
🟢 Easy – Perfect for beginners & practice
🔵 Normal – Default balanced experience
🔴 Veteran – For players who want a real challenge
This makes offline mode way more enjoyable, especially if you’re learning the game or just want to chill and practice without pressure.
🌍 Region Switching Bug – FIXED
A very annoying issue is now gone:
❌ Region was switching automatically in menus
❌ Friends couldn’t find each other
✅ Region is now saved correctly
You’ll stay connected to the same region every time. Multiplayer matchmaking should now feel much more reliable.
🔊 Improved Gunshot Audio (Big Immersion Boost)
Gunshots are now audible from much farther away:
Hear enemies shooting at you before it’s too late
Hear fights happening across the map
Better awareness, tension, and battlefield feeling
This change really transforms how the game feels — you need to try it to feel the difference.

Over the past few days we’ve been closely reading every review, every discussion, and all of your feedback. One message came through loud and clear:
**You wanted a full Offline Battle Royale mode with smart AI bots.
No waiting. No matchmaking. Instant action.**
So today, we made a major change to the game — based entirely on what the community asked for.
🎉 NEW: Offline Battle Royale (Progress Supported!)
You can now play full 50-player Battle Royale matches entirely offline, powered by advanced AI bots.
✔ No queues
✔ No connection issues
✔ No empty lobbies
✔ No need to wait for players
Just drop in and play instantly, with full character and weapon progression.
This also means the game remains fully enjoyable regardless of CCU — it will never feel empty.
🤖 Smarter AI Bots
Our bots run, flank, shoot, chase, hide, engage each other, and fill every match to 50 players.
They’re challenging, fast, and make every match feel alive.
Bot difficulty settings (Very Easy / Normal / Veteran) are also coming shortly.
🌐 Online Multiplayer Still Available
If you prefer real players, online Battle Royale and Squad mode remain available.
The game now offers two complete ways to play:
• Offline freedom
• Online competition
It’s your choice.

🔧 Fixes & Improvements
Damage zone no longer appears if the master server disconnects before the match starts
Fixed an issue where some players’ damage zone didn’t shrink until the next warning
Increased footstep volume for better awareness
Added full 3D directional audio for all footsteps — track enemies by sound!
Airplane now starts from different random locations each match
Fixed scope bug where certain objects weren’t visible while aiming
Fixed spectating bug showing wrong weapon angles when the player aims
Fixed rare end-match loop bug that restarted the match infinitely
Jump in, test the improvements, and let us know how it feels!
