Major Visual & Audio Overhaul Update
A new major update has arrived for Polygon Bit Battle Royale focused on improving the overall atmosphere, visual identity, and gameplay feel.
This update completely reworks the game's post-processing and screen effects to create a much more beautiful and immersive low-poly style. Maps now have a cleaner cinematic look with updated lighting moods and redesigned skyboxes that better match each environment’s colors and theme.
The airplane intro sequence has also been improved with a new dynamic camera FOV (85 instead of 45), giving a stronger sense of scale and making the island flyover feel far more intense and immersive.
Audio & Movement Improvements
Character movement has been heavily polished with completely remade sound effects for:
Walking
Running
Jumping
Falling
Crouching
Movement now feels smoother, more fluid, and more satisfying overall.
Footstep audio has also been redesigned to improve positional awareness. Enemy movement can now be heard much more clearly at the correct distance, improving combat readability and tension during fights.
Gunfire sounds were additionally polished to provide a stronger sense of near and distant combat across the battlefield.
Visual & Store Page Improvements
The game’s Steam page capsules and promotional poster artwork have also been updated with improved art and presentation to better match the new visual direction of the game.
Optimization
The overall game build size has also been reduced from 1.9 GB to 1.6 GB, improving download size and storage usage.
