It’s finally time—Go-Go Town! 1.0 is now available!
This has been such an exciting journey for us, and whether you’ve played since the start of Early Access, or are just diving in town, we as a team (and TownCo.) are so glad you’re joining us on this journey!
Let’s dive in! We’ve got a brand new beautiful launch trailer for you:
In Go-Go Town!, you’re dumped unceremoniously into a run-down town and given the job of Mayor. Congrats! Now you’re in charge of making all the decisions, with the goal of making a ton of money turning it into a thriving tourist destination.
What, you thought it would be easy? Well that’s where your friendly neighborhood corporation TownCo. comes into play! Well, we mean it’ll be easy for us, because you’re doing all the work!
As mayor, you’ll be in charge of: clearing land, building shops, stocking those shops, cleaning garbage, setting up industry zones, planting crops, fishing, exploring secret zones, finding new vehicles to ride in, building your own house, creating a transit system of subways, fighting off garbirds, convincing clowns that live in the sewers to move in…
…you know, the usual Mayoral duties.
Oh, you wanted to make TownCo. proud and Delegate™️like the best of them? Good. All those tourists visiting your city? Those are just potential workers waiting to be put to work. Convince them to move in, build them homes, and tell them what to do. They’ll run shops, farm, collect resources, act as couriers, help clean your town, and more!
And of course, there’s more:
Local and Online Co-op for up to four players. Build together, throw garbage at each other, or race in Go-Karts, the choice is yours. Want to micromanage a bit? Play solo instead.
From hiring workers to setting up couriers to deliver to shops, Go-Go Town! is all about making your life easier as Mayor through automation. Workers will collect resources, deliver them, maintenance crews will clean up your town, and more.
Rising up the TownCo. ranks is no easy feat. You’ll have a complete Tech Tree to pick and choose which upgrades, shops, and décor you want to unlock, and TownCo has created challenges each step of the way that test your mayoral prowess. Think you’re up for it?
Make tourists happy! With nine different tourist personality types and seven… otherworldly ones (did someone say Aliens? Werewolves?) as well, you’ll have to stock restaurants and shops with a range of items based on what they’re looking for and they’ll rate you highly. Don’t let them leave disappointed!
Explore the map, expand into new areas, unlock fast travel, and find hidden zones that are full of items, vehicles and more to bring back to your town. You might even find fish, artifacts, fossils, and more to collect and show off!
Make your way around town with a variety of vehicles, from pillbugs to flying broomsticks, or even a bicycle built for four. Store the extras in a parking garage, or import some for friends.
Not happy with your layout? Build cliffs, tear them down, add water and different terrain types to fully customize the map layout. Use the paint tool to customize buildings, items and everything to match—or clash in just the right way.
Don’t forget the inside—you’ll have your very own house that you can decorate and expand the inside of with furniture, appliances, lighting, and one (1) chalk outline of a body. Those items can also go outdoors, so cover your town in rugs.
New Major Features
We’ve added a bunch of new things, fully revamped others, and have polished everything to a beautiful shine! Here’s a few things that you’ll find:
Our brand-new Creative Mode lets you fully take the reins and build with no limits, no money needed and a new map on which to make that happen.
Bugs, artifacts, fish, gems, relics, and fossils—it's time to start collecting! We've got a new Treasure Hunting system where you can collect (and display!) things you find while exploring your town and environs. Will you set up a fishtank or a beautiful plinth first?
A distant cousin of the noble Bin Chicken, Garbirds will root around in your trash, scare tourists, and won't leave until you get rid of them. Just another thing to keep on top of!
Streaming on Twitch? We’ve got great new Twitch commands that your audience can use!
Of course, we couldn’t add new features and not have new Steam achievements! There are now 30 new Steam Achievements that you can earn, and a total of 56! Here's a few of our favorites... which ones are you most excited to earn?
QOL Improvements
Of course, there’s always little updates that we can do to make your gameplay a little nicer. Here are a few of those:
Rebuy System 🧮 We've made it easier to buy more décor items that you've unlocked, and all it takes is some EGO. Fill the city with trees! Add barriers everywhere! Make a lane of statues!
Imports 📥 What does TownCo need more than anything? Cash! And we're happy to import vehicles or, well, any item you may want... for a price. Need an extra tomato? Pill bug? Just order them up!
Offroad Driving 🛻 Where we're going, we don't need roads... All player vehicles are officially "off road" vehicles! Take your truck into the forest, we don't care.
Lost and Found 🧹 Made a mess in your town? Lost and Found to the rescue! Your Maintenance Crew will now pick up items dropped on the ground and take them to Lost & Found. But after 12 in-game hours, they'll get rid of them, so keep an eye on it!
Updated Tutorial 📑 Just in time for new players! We’ve revamped our tutorial so it walks you through all the major steps you need to be successful in Go-Go Town!. Got everything handled and starting a new save? Skip it! Need a refresher? It’s waiting for you in the main menu.
Vehicle Garage 🚙 Got too many vehicles? Don't we all! Store them in the new vehicle garage. And if you have too many Go-Karts, there's someone inside who will happily take them off your hands and make them disappear.
What’s next?
The Go-Go Good Times don’t stop now! Here’s a look at our post-launch roadmap!
Thank you!
Again, if you’ve been with us since playtests, or just picked up a copy today, we’re so glad to have you and hope you enjoy everything Go-Go Town! has to offer

Hello Mayors!
Wanted to do a little dive into a new mechanic that we're introducing with 1.0: Treasure Hunting! You'll be able to find bugs, gems, fossils, artifacts, and more all around your town (and hidden in the outer zones as well), and display them around your town.
Here's how it'll work: as you're walking around town, you may see a new kind of fishing spot, an artifact trove, a treasure node, or bugs wandering around, and you'll be able to interact with it (provided you've brought the right tool!)
Then you'll have a beautiful animation where you triumphantly show off your find...
From there, head to the Town Hall. This is a new building that will come with 1.0, and it's also where you'll come to get rewards from challenges. But inside, there's a new troll named Arizona Smythe III and a few displays. You can display your finds in aquariums, bug stands, plinths, and if you want more, head to the vending machine in the back: you'll be able to purchase more with EGO.
And what about Arizona? They're there to take extras off your hand—so if you've found one too many Forest Woodies, you can sell them to them and they'll... handle it. Don't ask questions!
This interior can be decorated with all the tools and décor that you have for your home, and expanded to boot, so go nuts. And of course—these displays can be placed outdoors as well!
Your phone will track what you've found, as well as the number of things you have left to find. As to where to find them? We'll just have to wait for intrepid players like you to add them to our Wiki when the time is right!
And of course... make sure you look in the external zones as well. Critters and things to dig up are hiding across all the maps, so make good use of that Fast Travel!
Make sure to check out all the zones to find all the critters and treasure you can
This is one of the things we're so excited about with 1.0, and hope you all are as well!

Hi all!
It's been a while since I last posted - Emily has been doing an amazing job keeping everyone updated for us.
With V 1.0 just around the corner, and with questions we have been getting regarding save progress, I wanted to drop in and personally update you on what is happening on this front.
The Short:
EA saves will not be compatible with V 1.0, however, your EA progress will not be lost and you can continue to play/visit your existing towns (see below).
How to Keep Playing Your EA Saves:
We have created a dedicated Game Version called ggt_legacy. You will be able to jump into this version anytime you want, and continue to play your existing game. We have a Discussion topic here that will walk you through how to do this.
The Long:
We really wanted to address as much Early Access feedback as possible for our V 1.0 release. This meant that we reworked some pretty fundamental systems in the game. We worked to preserve saves and bring them forward, however, we found that the time spent doing this meant that V 1.0 would not be as good of a game. After much thought, we agreed that what we wanted from V 1.0 was to give you more features, more ways to play, and more content, and to address as much of your feedback as we could. We do promise that this is a once off. V 1.0 saves are sacred, they are not going anywhere.
This is not the ideal outcome that we wanted. However, V1.0 has *so* much packed into it, and you will enjoy it. Over the next few weeks Emily will be highlighting all of the new content coming into V 1.0
Just to highlight a few of the features Emily will be covering:
Go-Go Town! is coming to 1.0 on JULY 16th! Check out our brand-new trailer here: In Go-Go Town!, you’re dumped unceremoniously into a run-down town and given the job of Mayor. Congrats! Now you’re in charge of making all the decisions, with the goal of making a ton of money turni
In Go-Go Town!, you’re dumped unceremoniously into a run-down town and given the job of Mayor. Congrats! Now you’re in charge of making all the decisions, with the goal of making a ton of money turning it into a thriving tourist destination.
You’ll plan neighborhoods, build shops and homes, manage production chains, hire workers, complete quests, welcome visitors—look, the list is long, but if you have that TownCo. “special something” that others call “delegating,” then you’re in the right place. Simply recruit tourists to live and work (mostly work) in your town while you, well, take credit for that hard work.
Once your town is fully automated, you’re free to neglect your town spend your time doing more important Mayor duties™, like painting the town to the exact colors you want, reshaping the terrain, Go-Karting with friends, or even high-five a cow or two.
It sounds so peaceful… until disaster strikes and you’ll have to spring into action! They don’t call it Go-Go Town! for nothing!
1.0 will be full of great features, including:
Local and Online Co-op for up to four players on Steam.
Rising up the TownCo. ranks is no easy feat. You’ll have a complete Tech Tree to pick and choose which upgrades, shops, and décor you want to unlock, and TownCo has created challenges each step of the way that test your mayoral prowess. Think you’re up for it?
Make your way around town with a variety of vehicles, from pillbugs to flying broomsticks, or even a bicycle built for four. Store the extras in a parking garage, or import some for friends.
Explore the map, expand into new areas, unlock fast travel, and find hidden zones that are full of items, vehicles and more to bring back to your town. You might even find fish, artifacts, fossils, and more to collect and show off!
Our brand-new Creative Mode lets you fully take the reins and build with no limits, no money needed. We’ll have new maps for you to test the limits of your creativity as well.
It’s going to be an exciting time as we head now into launch!

Hello Mayors! We're so excited to share that we'll be taking part in Wholesome Direct next month! We love the Wholesome events, because they do a great job of showcasing great games, and so we know we're in great company.
Set your calendars for June 6th at 9am (US-Pacific) / June 7th at 2am (Brisbane), and we can't wait for you to see what we've got in store!
As we're progressing towards our 1.0 release, part of preparing for that next phase means that we'll be increasing the price at the end of the month. The game when it released in EA two years ago is much different from the one it is now, and we've had 6 Major Updates, 7 Minor Updates and there's even more to come with 1.0, so we feel that the new price will be commensurate with the added value you're getting. More details to come, but wanted to let you all know ahead of time.
Stay tuned here and on social media as we'll be sharing a lot more updates on what's to come with 1.0!

Hello Mayors!
We’re still hard at work as we head towards our 1.0 release, but wanted to talk about a big feature that we’re pretty excited about: a new Tech Tree! As a head’s up, this isn’t live in the game yet, you’ll have to wait for 1.0, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek.
This is something we’ve wanted to get to for some time, the idea of streamlining the Tech Tree so it was more modular and gives you as the player more agency—you can pick and choose how you move through levels.
So here, you can see the tiers are broken down into much smaller chunks (and we’ve adjusted the EGO cost for them as well). We’ve also moved a few things out and made them Challenge Rewards (more on that to come)
A few players talked about how frustrating it was to have limits on what you could buy at early (and well, late) levels, and so we’ve fully adjusted that too. There’s now a “Rebuy” tab where you can purchase additional copies of props you’ve already unlocked. You’ll use EGO for this, and we’ve adjusted it so tourists generate EGO as they move around your Town.
If you’re anything like me, the Barriers section will be your most-used one:
Calling all content creators & streamers
As we head towards 1.0, we’re on the lookout for people who want to stream Go-Go Town! If this sounds like you, we have a handy-dandy form for you to fill out here. If you don’t stream, please spread the word to streamers you like! We very much appreciate it.
Are you proud of the town you’ve built?
We’d like to see it! We’re looking for towns that we can use to share in our marketing and on social media (you all make things so much more beautiful than we can), as well as to test how the game runs with complex town mechanics. If you want to send one along, you can submit a feedback form, and just say END-GAME TOWN in the description. That’ll send us a copy of your save!
Stay tuned here on Steam in the next few months, we’ll have a lot of exciting news to share. And if you have a friend interested in Go-Go Town!, make sure to have them follow the game so they get updates!

Hello Mayors!
Just in case you missed last month, we shared our 2026 Roadmap, and part of that was sharing that we’ve got a little update for you in honor of Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year! We’ve got a bunch of goodies, but most importantly is our new horse vehicle!
It comes in quite a few colors, and it will be randomized, but we already have our favorites—do you? And of course, you’ll have to find where it is on the map! But if you get stuck, there’s always our Discord and Wiki to help guide the way.
And of course, that’s not all! We’ve got some new décor to go along with it. You’ll be able to get all these from Papa Wheelie, our seasonal vendor. Here’s the full list:
Wallpapers
Hearts
Moon Fan
Peach Blossom
Lucky Clouds
Props
Heart Pillow
Heart Gift Box
Love Potion
Horse Plushie
Heart Plushie
…and don’t forget, there’s all the props from last year that you can use to decorate your home and town for Chinese New Year!
Please tag us on social media if you have particularly good setups with the new décor (or even in general!), we can be found as @gogotowngame on most platforms and we love seeing everyone’s towns!
Also while we won’t be on sale for this holiday, we will have a sale coming next month, so stay tuned!
