Consequently, we have updated the button layout to allow for the analog input.
Please confirm whether the updated button layout has been applied or not using the following procedure.

Please select "METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version" from your Steam library.
Open "Controller Layout" by selecting the controller icon.
Select the gear icon.
Select "Layout Details".
Please confirm that the "Layout ID" is one of the following ID numbers. *The number will differ depending on the type of controller being used.

If the ID number does not match any of the above, please verify the integrity of game's files.

We have released a beta update that resolves the abnormal speed issue. However, as this is a beta update there is a possibility that it may cause other issues to occur, and as such, we ask for your understanding. If this happens, please opt out of the beta and revert to the original release version.
Follow the steps below to opt into the beta.

Go to your Library from within the Steam Client and select “METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version”
Right click and select “Properties”
Select “Betas” and input "n5aYRbUiiNS6" into the bar under "Private Betas" section. If successful, "Opt into: beta - beta test" will be displayed in blue underneath the bar. The option to select "beta" from the dropdown menu in "Beta Participation" will then become available. Once selected, the beta update will download. You will be able to play the beta version once the download is complete. To revert to the original release version, simply change “beta” back to “None” in the dropdown menu. Once the download reverting the beta update is complete, you will be able to play the original release version.
For those who are tried and are using the temporary solution, make sure to reset the settings to the original settings first before launching the game.

Currently, there is a known issue where users are unable to install the DLC when selecting the "Download" button from within the game. This "Download" button will be removed in a future update.
Make sure that you close the game app before installing/uninstalling the DLC. Make sure to also wait until the install/uninstall is complete before launching the game app.
The list of DLCs that are available will vary depending on which regional version of the game you own. The screenshot displayed in these instructions are based on the European regional version. The details can be found in the DLC section of your Steam Client.

Go to your Library from within the Steam Client and select "METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version"
Right click and select "Properties"
Go to the DLC section, select the DLC that you would like to install, and deselect the ones you don't want to install. This setting can be changed at any point in time.

We are aware that users are reporting issues with the Steam® version of METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1 resulting in the game running at abnormal speeds.
We ask for your patience while we conduct a thorough investigation.
We recommend that you try the following workaround as a temporary solution.
This workaround is not necessary if you are not experiencing these issues.
Instructions
For those using a graphics card made by NVIDIA®
We recommend that you follow these steps below.
The screen configuration, etc. may be different depending on the which version you have installed.

Open the “NVIDIA Control Panel”, then select the “Manage 3D settings” located on the left-side of the window.
Select the “Program Settings” tab.
In the “1. Select a program to customize:” section click on the “Add” button, then go to the folder where you have “METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version” installed and select “METAL GEAR SOLID.exe”. Once selected, make sure that the file location is displayed on the right-side of the “Add” button.
In the “2. Specify the settings for this program:” section, make sure that the “Vertical sync” is turned on.
In the “2. Specify the settings for this program:” section, make sure that the “Max Frame Rate” is at 60FPS.
Click the “Apply” button.
For those using a graphics card made by AMD

Launch the “AMD Software” that you have installed.
In the “Gaming” tab, select “METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version”.
Make sure that the “Radeon™ Chill” is turned on, with the Min FPS and Max FPS set to 60.
Make sure that the “Wait for Vertical Refresh” is set to Always on.

	“Resolution” has been added to the Screen settings in the Options menu. In "Resolution", you will be able to select between "Original", "High Resolution", and "Max Resolution".

	These settings cannot be changed after starting the game. If the resolution is set to anything other than "Original", you will be unable to change the smoothing and screen filter options, and the "Pixel Perfect" option in "Game Screen Settings" will be unavailable. Some setups may experience some instability if these settings are changed. Consider reverting back to the default settings if you experience any instability.
