We have released a small update for the Junkienator demo, based on some of your initial feedback and internal optimisations. Many thanks to everyone who tried it!
Here are the main changes you'll find in this new version:
Performance improvements: We've worked to resolve some scene loading issues and make the game lighter on all platforms. Loading and performance should now be better on all platforms.
Gamepad fix: We fixed a bug that didn't show the on-screen buttons correctly when using a controller, especially during the burial puzzle.
Graphics fix: We have fixed a minor colour correction issue that could occur in the last level.
Please download the latest version of the demo to try out these improvements. Your feedback is invaluable to us, so please let us know what you think.

Yes, we disappeared for a while. The reason? The feedback we received from various sources was so helpful that we decided to rebuild significant parts of Junkienator in order to improve your experience. Let's just say that we took your suggestions very seriously.
The result of this re-creation is a brand new demo that captures the first two days of the game and reflects our original vision more accurately (we have removed a few minor details so as not to reveal everything to you). Think of it as version 2.0 — the version we should have made from the outset, but it took us a while to get there.
You can download it now on the shiny new Steam page. A Mac version is also available!
Now it's your turn. Leave your feedback on the demo's dedicated page, where you can also leave a review if you wish. Any criticism or feedback will help us avoid having to do it all over again for a third time!

In the last demo, the junk was a bit static and uninteresting. We wanted to make it more dynamic and fun, and we worked hard to find the right solution.
So, here's the result: get ready to see cups zipping around the office, menacing donuts, and other objects coming to life in unexpected ways, ready to hinder your work!

Wow, it's incredible that almost 5 months have passed since our last update here on Steam, but don't worry, we're here! We've been hard at work developing Junkienator, and we wanted to give you a quick update to keep you in the loop.
As you know, developing a game requires a lot of dedication, especially when there are only two people on the team. So, in this short devlog, we want to share some additional information about what to expect from the final version of Junkienator, which is going to be truly epic!
What have you been doing these past months?
Well, we've mainly focused on the levels, introducing new mechanics that were already in the works during the demo but hadn't been included yet. Additionally, we've listened to some incredibly talented professionals, including game designers and art directors, who have helped us polish and solidify the game even further.
Ah, but what's behind that darn door?
Unfortunately, we can't reveal that just yet. However, we can tell you that the story in the demo is only a small taste of what awaits you in the full version. But we'll let you in on a secret: our game will take place over the course of approximately one week, during which you'll accompany our favorite janitor in his adventurous life. This allowed us to structure the levels as true "days," almost like chapters in his story. Each day, you'll experience his life from waking up to well-deserved sleep.
But is there anything you can show us?
Absolutely! In fact, we have two things to share with you. The first one is the new weapon model, which was a direct result of some mechanics we introduced in the game but can't reveal just yet (oops). So, here it is, and who knows... maybe you'll be able to guess the new mechanics associated with this weapon.
Now, let's move on to the second thing we'd like to show you: the new grab mechanic! You'll now be able to pick up objects, reposition them, throw them, or simply leave them on the ground. This mechanic was born from our desire to give you more control in the game's offices and make you feel like real janitors! Hey, those books won't put themselves back on the shelves, right?

Night area
What we want to show you today is a small outdoor area, set at night, with what looks like a door to a basement. This area will precede your very first job as a cleaner. Damn! They forgot to give you the keys... well of course we can't postpone this job, there will surely be a way to enter, right?
