Hey there!
A couple of days ago, we dropped a new update! This one’s extra special because the Android version is now available worldwide for the first time! 🎉 Multiplayer, however, is still only available on PC - for now. Don’t worry, it’s coming to mobile eventually.
For now, let’s dive into the most noticeable change in this update: the new health system!

When you take damage, a health bubble will spawn. You can pick up these bubbles to restore a lost limb. You can also pick up health bubbles spawned by other players. All health bubbles are the same, so grab them while you can.
You’ll still have three health points before you die, just like before. However, when you lose a body part, you’ll start bleeding. If you don’t pick up a health bubble and patch yourself up, you’ll eventually bleed out and die. (Creepy, right?)

The more limbs you lose, the faster you’ll bleed out. So, don’t wait around - you’ve got about 10 to 20 seconds to save yourself. Keep in mind that we’re still testing this system, and it needs some polishing, so these numbers might change. Either way, it brings exciting new dynamics to the game, especially on maps like UFO and Boomchicken.

While the new health system might steal the spotlight, the biggest change behind the scenes for us has been optimization. We’ve spent months making sure Chop Chop Guys runs smoothly on mobile with a solid framerate. Our goal is to hit 60 FPS on devices like the Google Pixel 4 and similar hardware.
What does this mean for PC players? The game should now run flawlessly on the Steam Deck! 🚀 Give it a try and let us know what you think on our Discord server.
Cheers,
The Chop Chop Guys Dev Team
