Developer posts and news about this game.
I changed the rendering engine from GLES3 to GLES2 and corrected the color changes in the Environment Node. This little change by itself has tripled the performance of the game. I added, yet again, allot of the unused assets I made for the game before I originally released it. I
I removed the lost shuriken particles for the player character that where never visible anyway. I reduced the amount of particles that fall from the sky and other resources to the half for better performance. I removed a lot of unused and unnecessary holder game objects and inter

Hello. Back then when I was drawing my assets for my first game, AI Stories, I have not implemented all of them into the first unity or later on Godot version. I have checked through the unused assets and implemented the majority of them into the game now. So that the effort I in
Hello. I feel very uncomfortable that I have to write this, but it is sadly necessary. Due to the current political events happening in the USA, it is ethically not possible for me anymore to sell my games over a video game distribution service like steam. My games are often abou
I finally learned how to upload a Linux build of my game onto steam. AI Stories can now be played on Linux mint 22.1. in a native way. I honestly don’t know if it also plays well on other Linux distributions. It is not a flat pack build. If you are facing compatibility issues on
I changed almost all variables from a dynamic programming style to a static one. This should lead to a bit of an improved performance. I also changed the full screen toggle to two different buttons for full screen or windowed. The game remembers the setting and automatically appl
I finally learned how to add camera zooming in and zooming out to my third person games. You can now zoom in and out using the mouse wheel. If you want to see more of the whole game world, you can zoom out. If you want to have more of a first person experience, you can zoom in. P
I changed all update functions to fixed update. This should make the game more stable performance wise on weaker computers or when lag spikes occur. Please wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel
Just a little bug fix and lore continuity update. There was a bug where the camera could go beyond looking up and down, this is now fixed. I changed one of the messages of Aria a little bit to make sure the lore of the next AI Stories games is properly continous. Please wishlist
I added a better Full-screen image above the Full-screen toggle that is more visible. The Full-screen Toggle is now set to on by default, so it’s not confusing. I added a white ring around the Resume, options and save and exit button in the pause menu to make sure the player sees

I learned how to make a mouse sensitivity slider and added it to the game's key mapping sub-menu. If the camera is moving too slow or too fast for you, you can now make it move slower or faster with this new slider. I also gave all the sliders in the pause menu their own unique g

I always wanted to add key mapping to the game, I learned how to do that in the last 2 days and finally got it working. You can now remap every action in the game in the new options menu. Also, don't forget to wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel
The game is set around the stories of the 3 AI lifeforms, and not about the player character, which confused a few of my players. So, I have added a little entry message right at the spawn point that explains this and also gives a clear goal to achieve. Also, my next game, AI Sto
