Akupara Games is having a little birthday party to celebrate 10 years next month. I don’t understand celebrating birthdays when I’m thousands of years old but whatever.
They are having an Akupara Direct and a livestream where they will be sharing games and I was thinking about dropping by and making an appearance. I wonder if I can convince any of their other games for a “tour” of my underworld. I’ll send my minions to send an invitation. Can’t trust any of the rats with any of the news that they are announcing during that Direct.

My developer minions have been working on my crypts. They want some test subjects to go through first to iron out any bugs that may appear. If you want to join in this new build you only need to follow these simple steps. Well simple for me but for souls like you it might be a challenge.
Right click Cryptmaster in your Steam library and click properties
Go into the Beta Tab and in the drop down menu next to “Beta Participation” select public_testing
Steam should automatically download the new build
If you do run into any issues while playing this build, please go tell the rats in the Steam forums and report your issues. The developer minions will take notes of the issues and continue to “improve” my game. We all know my game was perfect until the developers got involved.
Here are the patch notes that the developer minions want to pass on.
Fixed damage based on cards returning wrong value (it doesn't currently count card finished)
Improved ispy island, so if you revisit it, the script fires a bit easier.
Hand sizes and tab sizes now will have a max size (8 and 26 respectively).
The player UI for cards will offset when over 5 cards to make additional space.
Headbutler card renamed to topbutler.
Rewrote two of the new crop of gravestones as they had conflicting names
Removed duplicate gravestone spawning appears on one of the maps.
Reduced riddle skeleton card difficulty by reducing his pair detection, as it was a little high.
Fixed the auto bypass of the Pixie court Whatever quest
Fixed 7k resolution not correctly being picked up, is was reverting to lowest res on some machines

It has been a bit since I’ve had the unfortunate and undesirable moment to talk with you. Yes, I liked it better when you were trapped in my crypts, screaming trying to get out. The good news is: there will be more of that in the future! My dungeon will be getting an expansion. My developer minions have been toiling their poor souls to death trying to get me to free them.
They have updated and expanded on the irresistible card game of Whatever, in which I am undefeated. Anyone that tells you otherwise is lying and will be dealt with promptly. Now, my thrall will explain how to play and what is new in the taverns.
Hello, it is the Cryptmaster's favorite minion! One day they will remember my name!
Whatever, as some of you may know, is the premiere card-word game down in the underworld. Please don’t tell the people in the overworld or they might try to monetize it and turn it into loot boxes or throw a battlepass on there. They can get very scary up there.
Anywho, throughout your adventures you can challenge people to a game of Whatever by asking them “Whatever.” Only the lowest life would refuse to play against you.
Once you draw your letter tabs, you will also draw cards that have powerful effects to help you win the game. Before you start the game you can swap tabs or cards that you have drawn to gain a better start.
After you begin, you will start first. Player luck or something. You and your opponent will start with 40 life and your goal is to eliminate their life before they have a chance to terminate yours. You’ll deal damage with cards by selecting two letter tabs to play at a time, trying to match letters to the names of the cards in your hand. In addition to the effect of the card itself, each letter you match deals 1 damage. Once you play your letter tabs your turn ends. Your turn will start again once the opponent's turn completes.
The cards in your deck are very important. If you spell the words on the card they may unleash powerful effects! They can range from healing, dealing damage, increasing hand size, and more. That effect will play after your letter damage and you will draw a new card. In between matches, you will gain new cards to play with, especially by winning games of Whatever. In between games, you can set up your deck and choose the cards you want to play. What deck will you build?
You may have noticed the black letter tabs in the screenshot. The black tabs are wild letters that will change letters every turn. White tabs won’t change letters. Wild letters can help you seal the deal! Especially when they change into something powerful for you!
If you only have terrible tabs and there is no good play, then you can use your turn to turn in all your letters and draw all new tabs. You won’t do any damage and won’t gain progress on your cards but you could set up for a powerful play your next turn.
Anniversary Update
The wonderful, infallible Cryptmaster ordered us to expand on the perfect crypts and so, we’ll be featuring plenty of new gameplay to dig into. They deserve all the credit. Don’t listen to the developers trying to take their credit.
New NPCs to meet! Yes! Yes! They are friendly, I promise! They just want to play Whatever! The Highwayman & The Innkeeper! Go meet them!
Downwood also got an expansion. There are rumors of a new graveyard in Downwood as… I’m too scared of the paranormal to look! Please don’t make me go! The Tavern where you can play in Whatever tournaments against new players. Defeat them all and gain new cards.
Speaking of new cards, this update adds a few new cards. 10? No. 20? Think higher! 50? Higher! Over 100 new cards! So many new cards! New combos and strategies to develop! Don’t drop them! It might take a while to clean them up.
If Whatever just wasn’t your cup of whatever you drink, then there are a few other things that might be enticing to check out. There is a new enemy to find. The Piskies. I personally stay away from them as they are too dangerous for a lower minion like me to fight so I don’t have much information on them but I’m sure strong heroes like you will do fine!
There is a new world map feature in the dungeon! If you press “5” the map will expand to show you what area you are in on the map! Very helpful in figuring out where you may need to go! I suggested “You are Here” signs throughout the dungeon but the Cryptmaster knows best!
Some other important feature that the Crypmaster blessed us with is that the crypts now have 7k support and a new auto color option! This will change the color tints based on the location you are in!
