📺 MENU & GAMEPLAY
We've made a number of changes and touch-ups throughout the game to make everything feel smoother and more immersive. Some of the noteworthy ones are as follows:
📼 TV Game Mode Menu — Now featuring a new VHS-inspired theme.
💥 New Directional Damage Indicator — Know where the damage is coming from.
👕 Wardrobe Touch-Ups — A few improvements and polish to your collection.
💡 Helpful Loading Screen Tips — Get useful information while you wait.
✨ Interactable Item Glow — Important items are now easier to spot.
⚙️ Settings Menu Touch-Ups — Additional improvements to the settings experience.
🗨️Report a Bug — Pause the game and in the bottom left corner find the "Report Bug" button!
🧪 SURVIVAL
Survival Mode is getting new toys in the shack to help you out!
🩷 Pink Jar
Throw the Pink Jar to create a Holy Light that causes all monsters within its radius to vanish.
💚 Green Jar
Throw the Green Jar to release Fireflies, attracting nearby monsters to the area.
Use them wisely. You never know when you'll need a little help... or a good distraction.
📖 STORY
We've also made several changes throughout Story Mode:
👤 Business Man — Updated character design.
🚜 Farmer Joe — Now known as Joseph. (Subject to change again!)
🖐️ Hidden Cars — Removed the "Hand Select" option.
🔫 Dart Rifle — Now has the same sprint slowdown as the Shotgun.
🐛 BUG FIXES
We've squashed a number of bugs and improved the overall experience! Here are a JUST few...
Fixed Teddy Tips in the Farmstead Realm.
Teddy will no longer give you the same scrolls repeatedly.
Improved player collision.
Fixed the "Can't Interact" issue when an interaction is actually available.
🔧 AND A WHOLE LOT OF POLISH
This update isn't just about the big features.
We've put TONS OF POLISH into Escape Purgatory! From optimizing the game and improving performance to adding small details and quality-of-life features that make your experience smoother while you're fighting to Stay Alive, we've done a lot to make the overall feel of the game BETTER.
There are more cosmetics coming in the future, so keep an eye on that Wardrobe... 👀
