v0.3 Alpha Update - Solo Play is Here!
We are excited to share this major update which enables solo play. We know that players have opened our Early Access build of Tabletop Warriors and been discouraged to not find an active session to join - but no longer! With this update, anyone can host a game and play as a Warri
We are excited to share this major update which enables solo play. We know that players have opened our Early Access build of Tabletop Warriors and been discouraged to not find an active session to join - but no longer! With this update, anyone can host a game and play as a Warrior. Simply host a game as a GM and activate the new mystical portal in the tower. Choose your Warrior character, then select a dungeon from the dungeon selection book in the Tavern lobby.

We are also excited to announce many fixes and new additions as a part of this major update, including a new Mummy enemy, improvements to the Tavern Store, Treasure Chests, and more!
FIXES
-Fleeing enemies can no longer move while held
-Enemies no longer flee into a pit space
-Deadly Cube now properly creating a little cube on death and can cast a poison cloud
-An open Catacombs illusion door no longer blocks targeting
-Wall hazard now removes appropriate wall details when placed
-Critter monsters no longer count as kills when calculating Gold
-Items carried by Warriors on their backs can no longer interact with the dungeon
-Projectile weapons can no longer target monsters through gates
-Increased cool down on the Bow
-Reduced speed at which ghosts can spawn
-Monsters firing projectiles will now attempt to face Warriors while they fire
ADDITIONS
-GM can now play as a Warrior

New Mirror Portal in Tower room and the Tavern where a GM can transform into a player and back (this can only be done if there is currently no active dungeon)
All cards normally held by the GM will automatically be placed in the dungeon
Monsters will now wander while the GM is a Warrior, making room for new monsters to spawn
-Added more randomized weapons for enemies
-Wall hazard can now be placed on single wall
-Reduced prices for all items in Tavern Store
-New Mummy enemy with elite variant
-Hazards can now be temporarily disabled by warriors
-New poster displaying GM controls
-Treasure Chests now show an animation, briefly displaying any card they contain
-Fireball now uses a ground target instead of an enemy
Tabletop Warriors is a VR game designed to be used on devices that supports openXR - such as the Valve Index, Oculus Rift, and the Meta Quest (using the Meta Quest Link software).

Details
Each Sunday at 7pm Eastern (ET) / 4pm Pacific (PT) the game developers will host an open server to create a new dungeon crawling adventure for our players - anyone with the game can join in on the fun! Multiple players not required.
To join, open Tabletop Warriors using your VR headset during the event time and select Join Game from the Main Menu.
Requirements

You must have purchased Tabletop Warriors, downloaded it to your Steam app, and open it using your VR headset to join in and play.
Please join the game at the beginning of the event to get the full experience.
Warrior spots available on a first come, first served basis.
This is a friendly, open social event. We expect all players to be respectful and kind to fellow adventurers. Harassment of ANY member(s) will not be tolerated.
See you Sunday!

We have been working really hard and are excited to release our first major update for Tabletop Warriors. We have added many new skills for all the Warriors and a new Dungeon type to explore. Many of these new skills add new ways to interact with the Dungeons, requiring major additions to back and front end mechanics. There are now damage types, resistances, weapon types, passive skills, critters and hazards. More than enough new stuff to shake a sword at!
Tabletop Warriors still requires 2+ players to host and join a game to play together.

Small "Critter" enemies spawn from empty crates
Rat, Snake, Spider, Tiny Cube
Tier 1 Skills Now Available; four new tier one skills for each class

Fireball skill changed to ground target instead of enemy (It was too easy to kill yourself)
Door lock system revamped to facilitate new skills
Warrior deaths now reduce Dungeon gold bonus by 10 each
Gold and treasure collected in the dungeon is immediately added to the stash
Stash, Store and Skill menus now update gold and available skills in real time
Reworked character selection to better disallow duplicate players of the same class
Decreased bow fire rate
Added descriptions for weapons
Enemies

Deadly Cube enemy now casts a poison cloud and spawns a small cube on deaths
The Shaman spell targeting no longer causes it to "lock up"
Reduced damage of the Shaman firebolt spell
Fixed enemy targeting so they can no longer target through closed doors
Spawners can now generate archer enemies and archer GM cards
GM

Re-worked some aspects of GM movement control
Fixed some holes in collision where the GM could pass through the walls
Dungeons

Generator better spreads out switches and keys
Re-worked sound effects for proper position and volume

v0.1.5.1 Patch
This is a small patch to resolve some recent issues. Fixes: Repaired a bug in the stash that would not allow you to move the last stash item to your hand. Cards that drop will once again heal the player or add to the player treasure. Fixed a bug where player life was not properly

Morale, Archers and More! We are excited to release several new features in preparation for our first big update. All enemies now have morale and can attempt to flee from players. Archer versions of the goblin and ratman can now spawn when a dungeon is loaded. We have also added

We are excited to release several new features in preparation for our first big update. All enemies now have morale and can attempt to flee from players. Archer versions of the goblin and ratman can now spawn when a dungeon is loaded. We have also added a new "Dungeon Details" mode for the GM that will display a miniature view of monster and player status as well as allow the GM to see hidden doors and switches.
Player Fixes:

Attempting to apply a skill to the wrong type of weapon will no longer cause a crash.
Shields held by the right hand will now have the correct orientation.
Rebuilt trap interface with new "gear" interaction icon.
Dummy in the tavern can now be attacked.
In addition to the defense buff, shields can now actively block incoming enemy arrows.
Dungeon level now properly progresses. The "crystal ball" skills preview will now update with the appropriate dungeon level.
Player loadout will now save when a dungeon is started or won.
GM Fixes:

New orc and skeleton spawner cards added to some dungeons.
New Curse Obelisk cards added to some dungeons. This item will reduce player to hit, armor and evasion a small amount from within its range.
Pressing the "A" button will toggle the new Dungeon Detail view.
Refined various aspects of the GM card inventory.

Spawned cards will no longer blank out your inventory if you have a counter in hand.
Grabbing a counter from your hand will now override any targeting state initiated by a monster info panel.

Miscellaneous Fixes:

New enemy morale system. Enemies will attempt to flee if their morale reaches zero. Morale will decrease as they take damage and miss attacks.
Archers added to the default pool of monsters that can initially spawn in many dungeons.

New Multi-Floor Dungeons!
We have reworked aspects of the dungeon generator to allow for players to travel between floors. Also, in preparation for our future v0.2 update we have added a preview of the player skill card interface with a new crystal ball in the tavern.
Fixes:

When releasing the bow without letting go of a drawn arrow, elf players will no longer be stuck and unable to move.
Skills targeting through doors will no longer consider open doors to be walls.
Various inventory and movement bugs have been resolved for the GM.
Monster spawners will now create monsters and cards more consistently.
Steam name now displays by default when name override is blank.
Additions:

Multi-floor dungeons! Some dungeons have a chance to have two or three floors.

New ladders and ropes that players can click on to travel between floors.
Monsters will teleport to a random spot on the board if players are transported (via ladder or other means) to a square they currently occupy.
Removed "safe" squares at the starting point of each dungeon. They are now unnecessary due to new monster teleportation.
New crystal ball added to the tavern. This crystal ball will serve as the interface for players to manage their skill cards. It is currently just a preview.
Some dungeon details added to increase visual diversity.

Game Master hat

Fixed an issue where the GM's hat would drift and misalign over time.
Reconnecting after exit to menu

On the Main Menu there is now a "connecting to network" message that disappears once network services have been established.
Added dungeon level to seed

Repeated dungeons now have a slightly different seed based on the dungeon level, allowing a different layout each time a dungeon is encountered.
