In today’s update, we’ve added passive skills that heroes can unlock in Adventure Mode. They’re obtained in the same way as regular skills, through reward events.

We’ve also updated the camp structures. Instead of the old tent, the map, backpack, and totem are now used to start new adventures, while the Yurt that opens the Compendium has received improved visuals and new animations.

Finally, we’ve made some balance changes, mainly adjusting unit values, which affects both the chance of encountering enemies in Adventure Mode and the amount of Bubbles you receive.
Passive Skills
Added the ability for heroes to unlock passive skills. Their descriptions can be found in the Compendium at the Main Camp.
Cat received the Fluffy passive skill - anyone who attacks it in melee takes a small amount of damage.
Dandelonion gained Ranged Counterattack - once per turn, he retaliates with a ranged attack - and Steadfast, which grants a defense bonus until he moves.
Fazollo received Melee Counterattack and Fresh, which increases damage when above 50% HP.
Main Camp
Added a new structure for starting Stories and Adventures.
Updated and added animations to the Yurt that opens the Compendium.
Adventure
In reward stages, heroes can now obtain passive skills.
Story
Updated Yurts that appear in several Story scenes.
Unit Balance
Reduced all counterattack damage from 100% to 50% of base damage.
Increased Frog value from 120 -> 160.
Increased Frog Commander value from 280 -> 360.
Decreased Clubob damage from 45–65 -> 45–55.
Increased Clubob value from 300 -> 360.
Increased Baba Yaga value from 250 -> 450.
Increased Rocky attack from 55 -> 62.
Increased Toad value from 500 -> 1000.
Other
Renamed Frog Commander's skill from Debuff to Mark.

The moment we’ve been eagerly waiting for is finally coming: Whimsical Heroes, our long-awaited gem, will soon be available to purchase in Early Access!
Planned Early Access release date: September 22, 2025
Regular price: $9.99
We decided to release Whimsical Heroes in Early Access because, although small in scale, we believe the game already offers an interesting experience for players who enjoy tactical gameplay in a calmer, cartoony setting. With the feedback and support from players during this phase, we want to keep developing the title over the coming months and add content that best matches your expectations. Early Access will launch with the following content:
Story mode! Dozens of handcrafted battles and exploration–narrative scenes
Adventure Mode, allowing multiple runs through procedurally generated battle sequences to earn Development Points that can be exchanged for unique gameplay upgrades
Three heroes each with unique abilities and progression paths
Three companions, providing various bonuses during battles, which can be upgraded throughout the game
Remember that if you want to check out the game for free, the demo is still available on Steam, and just got an update with some fixes and improvements to better reflect the state of the full game.
We are extremely excited for our launch, as well as for all the content we plan to add. We hope exploring Whimsicalia brings you joy, and that you will actively take part in its growth and improvement.
Have fun!

We are pleased to announce the release of the new content patch for our demo as part of our participation in the Turn-Based Carnival on Steam!
In this update, we focused on enhancing skills. Both the heroes and their companions' skills can be developed while staying at the camp. Simply choose the equipment of the heroes near the campfire or one of the companions to open the development screen.

Each learned skill has up to four different upgrades. Some increase damage, others reduce cooldown or required action points, while others give new properties to the skills. For example, upgraded Piercing will ignore the enemy's armor, and the False Note will hit more distant and numerous targets.

In addition to skill development, we also introduced improvements to the unit queue to support dynamic changes in initiative. And you know what? Chasing not only increases action points but also boosts initiative. Empowered by it, a hero will not only go farther but also earlier.
Last but not least, we've given a more unique atmosphere to the locations our heroes travel through. The forest is now darker, and Baba-Yaga's domain may seem a bit gloomy.

Since the demo was released, we have already published several important updates. If you want to know more about the changes we're making, have access to behind-the-scenes work, and influence the development of Whimsical Heroes, join our Discord now.

From now on, all information regarding the game will be published under the new title “Whimsical Heroes” that replaced the name "Bubbleland".
We assure you that the change is purely cosmetical, and the idea behind the game stays the same. Whimsical Heroes will be the same cartoonish and wacky take on dynamic turn based battles with unique heroes. The new name, as we believe, better suits the game’s tone and is more descriptive.

We are happy to finally announce Bubbleland!

Bubbleland is a cute little game that makes tactical battles less complicated and more fun. If you've always liked turns and hexes, but aren't interested in exploring stat sheets and optimal character builds, you'll love this little cartoonish game.
The game is all about simplicity, but the gameplay lacks no depth. We believe Bubbleland can offer you a variety of tactics, impressive skill combinations and exciting face offs, without requiring you to painstakingly learn the intricacies of the combat system.
