We're always improving Off The Chains! In this major update we've overhauled all disc flight physics and flight paths. We developed a brand new flight physics system for putters that will feel a lot more natural to most users. The push-putt style of putting is now much more accurate. Mid-range and drivers are capable of much straighter longer shots than previously.
In addition, we tweaked some game visuals and updated the baskets with new materials and branding. Additional quality of life, bug fixes, and performance improvements were also made.

Overhauled all disc flight physics and flight paths (Physics Overhaul 3)
New putting flight physics that feels more natural
New basket branding and materials
Improved object/grab highlight effect
In-game UI is now always aligned with the forward direction of your play area and will stay visible in your play area for an amount of time even while moving. This prevents users from missing and/or walking through UI that displays throughout gameplay and also helps to keep you throwing towards the forward direction of your play area.
The score card available on the watch will update in real time in both single and multiplayer (instead of at the end of a hole and/or when you open/close the watch)
Various other watch bugs handled including some course maps that weren’t displaying properly
Missing OOB markers updated where they were necessary
Performance improvements and further RAM and vRam usage reduction
Minor visual improvements
Discs fall to the ground normally after colliding with a tree (less floaty fall)

Hi Everyone! We have a very exciting update for OTCDG! In this update Is our first map expansion, which includes 3 new maps of varying difficulty. These maps have quite a few hills which make for some challenging and fun shots. You are also now able to turn the FollowCam on or off in the settings menu (it will be on by default).
To celebrate this new update we will be putting the game on sale at 25% off for the next two weeks starting May 4, so, if you have any friends you'd like to invite to play multiplayer, now is the time!
In addition, we’ve vastly improved game performance (especially for lower tier equipment). First and foremost, we spent a lot of time on this aspect of the game for our PC VR players, but, we also hope to bring the game to other platforms in the future and these performance improvements are key to being able to do that. We fully intend for this game to be cross-platform for multiplayer so widening the reach of people who can enjoy the game is a great thing for all.
Also in this update are some updated physics tweaks and general bug fixes. As time goes on we hope to continue to make physics for our game come closer and closer to reality and feedback from our players is highly valued in this regard. We have a lot planned for the future - one of the things we’ve been working on is a driving range that will include a new game mode. We hope to be able to share more with you about this soon! Also high up on the priority list are multiplayer bug fixes. We plan to release a subsequent bug fix update in a couple of weeks. Thanks for continuing to enjoy OTCDG!
OTCDG 0.29 Release Notes:

3 New Maps! They are all 18 hole courses and are of varying difficulty. There are a lot of hills in some of these, so, that’s why this is called the “Hill Update” :) Enjoy!
Performance updates: We have switched to baked lighting from realtime. This is much more performant on lower tier hardware. Shadows will persist in the distance. A lot of CPU heavy logic is now being pre-calculated at level load instead of during the game thus reducing sudden frame drops and lowering requirements to run the game at the desired framerate.
The FollowCam is now able to be enabled/disabled in the settings menu. By default, it will be on - if you prefer to play with the FollowCam disabled be sure to disable it in the settings menu.
Graphics options have been reset, the default will be low. If you have more than the minimum spec equipment feel free to turn your graphics options up. The “low” setting will look quite a bit better than it previously did as it now can include shadows.
Bug fix: A disc laying on the pole or on top of the basket will no longer count as a completed basket.
Bug fix: If you walk around at tee off and then select “teleport to next shot” you now correctly teleport back to the tee pad.

As game developers, an amazing thing happens after you release a game (if you’re lucky). Hundreds or thousands of players all of a sudden have access to your game and you receive lots of feedback in a very short amount of time. Even though we held a private beta with over 70 amazing beta testers it could not have come close to the floodgates of real world feedback that we received, and, we heard you! We’ve been hard at work over the last couple weeks improving the game’s physics and other aspects. Today we’re happy to announce that this update is live on Steam.
We’re not done though - we will continue to improve and iterate as time goes on. If you have feedback for us, please Join Our Community on Discord and come talk to us 😀! The following are issues and bug fixes that have been updated since release:

Overhaul of the physics system. It's been reworked for us to be able to fine tune specific shot types even more than before. Fade and turn points have been smoothed out for all shots. Other physics bugs and specific 'glitch shots' have been eliminated. Putting has been improved. The tomahawk shot has also been added.
A 'power meter' has been added to the last shot details. This will tell you if you were in the optimal power range for that type of disc. The four ranges you will see are, Orange - Toss, Yellow - Light Throw, Green - Perfect Power, and Red- Overthrown.
Hands have been swapped out for better models with more reasonably sized fingers.
Hand positions for all controllers have been adjusted to be more accurate
Hand animation no longer changes your disc rotation when grabbing a disc, it is up to you to 'level' it. This should feel much more natural and allow for more accurate release angles.
The trigger 'grab point' is now set at 75% for all controllers. This makes it a bit more sensitive for most and should give a better release point. This also resolves an issue with low power forehand throws due to a late release.
Some visual glitches in terrain have been identified and fixed
Sign post maps on "Sans Trap" map have been fixed
Detection to skip physics for shots that were not thrown the way a disc is intended to be thrown
Default controller mappings added for the new Reverb G2 controllers
Fixed laser pointer raycast issue when hand was in the 'pointing' position (mostly just relevant for Index controllers specifically).
Fixed bug that caused the watch to sometimes not work at all in multiplayer
Fixed bug that caused the watch to not show the scorecard in multiplayer
Fixed a bug that would cause your disc bag not to close in multiplayer if you teleported while holding a disc (and you can no longer teleport while holding any object in either single or multiplayer).
