Updates v0.32-v0.39

Over the last month we’ve rolled out quite a few updates and wanted to share the patch notes with you so that you know what’s changed. The biggest change that you’ll probably notice is an overhaul to putter flight physics. Most of our beta testers agree that putters now feel much more natural to throw. Aside from that, there are a slew of visual changes, performance improvements, quality of life, user experience features, and general bug fixes. As always, we’d love to have you on our discord for your feedback to help us continue to improve upon the game!

v0.32 - June 25th

- Hot fix: bug resolved that could occasionally cause players to inadvertently get pushed in a direction and float away or move without moving

v0.33 - June 27th

- In-game UI will now always spawn in the correct place at the front of your playspace even while moving AND if moving before your shot has landed. The score card will stay visible at the end of a hole until you either close it using a new “Close” button or until you select “Teleport to next shot” This also goes for the end of game scorecard in multiplayer that shows total tallies and winner(s).
- Multiplayer: Fixed a bug that sometimes would cause multiplayer games not to show up in the list of available games. Fixed a bug that caused the map name for the last 3 maps to not update in the UI when creating a multiplayer match.
- Some vegetation was updated for an additional performance boost

v0.34 - July 8th

- Physics adjustments to some flight paths and power levels
- The displayed power levels have been re-named to “Low Power, Average Power, High Power, Excess Power”.
- Added some and changed the “next tee” signs
- Solved issues with colliders and LOD’s on some of the walkable bridges
- Updated more vegetation for performance, adjusted LOD’s
- Various minor performance hiccups at certain points in game play have been eliminated
- Some adjustments to baked lighting
- Updated and adjusted terrain textures on some courses
- Updated textures on some objects
- Updated and improved resolution on some objects (such as rocks) in certain maps
- Improved triangle count on some objects that could impact performance

v0.35 - July 12th

- Fixed a performance drop on the Build-A-Bag section of the loadout menu
Improved colliders on most courses
- Fixed some missing collider issues on the second course
- Bug fix: chains can’t collide with UI elements
- Bug fix: the time on your watch correctly switches from 12hr to 24hr clocks and vice versa when changed in settings
- Metric/Imperial measurements on the basket map signs will update in real time when the setting is changed (instead of just at map load)

v0.36 - July 15th

- Putter physics overhaul
- Discs ground bounce has been drastically toned down for putters and mid-range discs (and toned down a little for drivers)
- Improved texture resolution on Quest, and vastly improved on Quest 2 (more changes to come, but, many textures are now very much improved)
- Improved tree billboarding to make it less aliased and distracting (more changes to come on these later)
- On Oculus controllers the menu button is now the left menu button on the controller (instead of B/Y)
- To run/sprint you now only need to click once on the stick (instead of holding it down). It’s fine to hold it down still if you wish.
- Smooth turn speed has been increased by 33% for each turn speed level (slow, med, fast).
- Snap turn now turns when you press the stick rather than release. If held down, you will keep snap turning at a reasonable speed.
- Controller image diagram for Oculus platforms has been updated to show Quest 2 controllers and updated button mappings

v0.37 - July 20th

- Fixed bug that could cause your disc bag to either stay open or close rapidly
- Fixed bug that could break gameplay if you attempt to “Go To Shot” while your disc from your last shot is still in motion (single and multiplayer)
- Fixed bug that could break gameplay if you left your shot area circle while the disc was in flight and then returned to the same circle (single and multiplayer)
- Fixed various Z-Fighting issues across various maps
- Extended maximum distance for teleport function and changed it’s visual appearance
- Oculus Controller buttons A/X now do “Go To Shot” if held down briefly. A visual spinner on a half second timer was added for this new function.
- Oculus Controller buttons B/Y are now “Open Bag” (mostly useful in freemode)
- Updated SteamVR Oculus controller mappings (relevant for Virtual Desktop users who play the game using SteamVR without the Oculus SDK)
- Updated SteamVR Index controller mappings to match above changes. The “open menu” button has also been moved to the left system menu button to match the Oculus controller layout. (Reminder: with SteamVR you are welcome to remap controls however you wish, these are just defaults).

V0.38 - July 25th
- Cross-platform multiplayer fixes July 25th

- Fixed a bug with “double discs” sometimes seen after you’re placed at your next shot
- For Vive controllers the new “fast teleport” option is now mapped to the right menu button by default
Fixed a bug that could cause UI to be able to collide with some things that it shouldn’t
