- New Intelligent faction A.I. to battle against.
- An RPG experience system to level up your armies.
- The First Eight levels of our open world, metroidvania map system.
- A complete chapter of (fully voice acted) story content and cutscenes.
- New types of levels and dynamic in-game events.
- A new resource.
- A giant boss fight.
- Cthulhu Knights!
- Well over an hour of new music and SFX.
We hope you enjoy the roughly four hours of new content, free to those who have purchased the game!
This update lays the foundation for the many great things to come in our quest to reclaim the Tapestry. Thank you all for your patience and support through these trying times.

Greetings Noble Guide, I bring news that the Cavern of Dreams has shifted once again. It appears the Makers have drawn shut the portals to their souls and conjured new lands on which braver folk than I dare tread. However, new names have been woven into the thread of The Cavern;

I bring news that the Cavern of Dreams has shifted once again. It appears the Makers have drawn shut the portals to their souls and conjured new lands on which braver folk than I dare tread. However, new names have been woven into the thread of The Cavern; it appears these dreams are born from a cabal of stranger gods.
Changes
- Added “level editor” button to main menu
- The button lists levels you’ve created, and by default only examples are listed. Instructions for how to create your own levels can be found on the It Stares Back Disocrd server: https://discord.gg/c63HuE2
- ”Conjure all” button added to the summoning menu on outposts and ruins; summons all available units to the selected building.
- Minor bug fixes and optimisations in preparation of future content
The New Dreams-
Three new levels have been added to the Dreams of The Makers in It Stares Back’s first Community Map Pack. As a special thank you for our first creators, their levels were lovingly voiced by the It Stares Back voice cast!
- Clamorous Encampment by DrBatteract
- Lay siege to a stronghold of Clamorings. They have taken root and infested these islands. Be wary, for it is unknown how long they have been here…
- Silent Steps by 8pic
- Mind where you tread, for this is a three-fold path. Walk the middle and your fate is sealed. Set out with silent steps.
- Hollow Swamp by RockRaid
- The air itself seems black and heavy to breathe, danger lurks beneath the illuminated path.

- Added level select that appears after the main campaign is completed.
- Also adjusted Grimoire and Eye portrait image settings.
Balances
- Tweaked the level "Clamouring" to be a touch easier.
- Tweaked the level "Rite of Wands" so
[spoiler]the ambushes[/spoiler]don’t spawn right under your feet.
Fixes
- Removed the scream from spawn in level 1, as no Souls have yet been sacrificed.

Balances
- Re-tuned some of the "Dreams of The Makers” levels.
Fixes
- Fixed crash bug for windows 7 users.
- Fixed issues with the “continue game” feature breaking after playing "Dreams of The Makers" levels.
Beings capable of reshaping their own dreams must be powerful indeed, Let us hope that your dreams remain safe.
