We have opened a test build of sheepChat 1.10.0

We have opened a test build of sheepChat 1.10.0.

Right now it is available only on Steam and only through the nightly-v1.x.x beta update channel. You can enable it in the game properties on Steam, in the “Game Versions and Betas” section.

Later, we will also publish a separate download link for users of the free version.

Important: this is a test build. It may contain bugs, unstable behavior, or issues that we have not caught during testing yet. If you find a bug, please let us know in Discord and mention that you are using build 1.10.0 from the nightly-v1.x.x channel.

What changed in version 1.10.0

This is a major update. We have reworked connections to all chat platforms, improved stability and performance, and fixed many issues.

Special attention was given to YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch. If YouTube chat did not connect for you before, TikTok kept disconnecting, or Twitch did not show viewers joining and leaving the chat, these issues should now be fixed.

Changelog:

* Twitch has been fully reworked. You can once again see who joins and leaves the chat. Raids, subscriptions, Bits, bans, timeouts, deleted messages, slow mode, and subscriber-only mode have also been added.

* YouTube now connects to chat reliably again. You can now use channel links in different formats, multiple simultaneous livestreams are handled correctly, and connection statuses are clearer.

* TikTok is now much more stable, no longer requires account login, and duplicate gifts have been fixed.

* VK now uses a unified connection for VK Video and VK Live and works without authorization.

* Steam broadcasts can now be connected in guest mode. Steam integration has been updated.

* Kick, Trovo, Douyu, GoodGame, Rutube, Picarto, and OK Live now support more event types and automatic reconnection if the connection is lost.

* Donation and alert services are now more reliable. DonationAlerts, DonatePay, Donatty, StreamLabs, Restream, and StreamVi have been improved.

* If an incorrect channel link is entered, the app now explains the issue more clearly and shows examples of valid links.

* Support for closed platforms WASD/NUUM, SC2TV/peka2tv, DLive, and Facebook integration has been removed.

* Built-in proxy settings have been removed. This was an intentional decision: the old built-in implementation was unstable and required constant workarounds. It is now more reliable to use a separate VPN or proxy client at the system level. Such a client will automatically apply to all app traffic.

* The internal app engine has been updated. Startup is now faster and more reliable, memory leaks and unnecessary resource usage have been reduced, and long-session stability has been improved.

* Emojis, icons, themes, and sounds are now stored inside the app, load faster, and depend less on external servers.

* Fixed playback of notification and alert sounds.

* Fixed image and link previews in chat.

* Fixed the right-click menu and tray menu.

* Fixed channel connection status display and reconnection notifications.

* Improved message voice playback.

* Improved OBS widgets: chat, events, notifications, and polls.

* Updated the “About” window.

* General app protection has been improved. sheepChat is now more self-contained, which improves security and makes its behavior more predictable.
