You can now rebind every key, and you can play the whole game on a controller - the view, the menus, the inventory and the crafting screens.
Controls settings
The Controls page was reworked. You can customise key inputs for keyboard, mouse and controller in one place. Axis invert moved here, and new sensitivity settings were added.
Full controller support
- The whole game is playable on a pad - POV view, menus, inventory and crafting screens.
- The stick behaves as a mouse, and you can click with it.
- No more holding A while dragging. On a controller, dragging just works.
- When a controller is in use, key mappings show controller inputs instead of keyboard keys.
Languages
German, Italian, Czech and Slovak localisations were updated. Brazilian Portuguese was added, on request from players.
More languages are coming: French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Ukrainian and Russian.

Nights and weather
- Nights are brighter now, especially once the moon is up. The trade is that the evening before moonrise can feel darker than it used to.
- Rain brings heavy darkness. If you are caught out in it at night, you will not see much.
- Night runs faster than day by default, and you can skip ahead by sleeping in a bed.
- On Eden difficulty, the first day should now stay dry.
Other changes
- Chopping a palm now drops one leaf per swing, and the mesh changes with every hit.
- Fixed a grass rendering issue caused by voxelisation.
Changed on your feedback
- Item highlights are more subtle. The colour now matches item quality - green, yellow, orange, red.
- The stick is twice the size, so you can actually see it on the ground.
Coming next
- The death map, revived.
- The next batch of languages.
- A use for the axe: chop wood into sticks, and chop old trunks into wood.
- Fungus on stumps, to keep a fire alive in an empty coconut. One more step, with charcoal.

If the recent updates changed how the game runs for you, please consider updating your review. Reviews are how other players decide whether to look, and an old review of an old build helps nobody.
Thank you for your patience and for sticking with this.
