Following feedback from the community the starter block situation has been modified.
- New entities now start in temporary stasis. This keeps your new build suspended while you work on it.
- That stasis is removed the first time you pilot or drive the entity.
- If you want a ship to stay suspended long term, use anti-grav for that purpose.
- For compatibility, older entities and blueprints that still contain a starter block are migrated to stasis on load, so existing worlds should stay intact.
From a new player perspective:
Starting a ship should feel simpler again. Your first build stays in place while you work on it, then behaves normally once you start flying/driving it.
From an existing player perspective:
Old starter-block builds should no longer suddenly drop after this change.
They keep a temporary suspended state for compatibility, but that state still clears on first piloting.
If you need long-term anti-grav, use the new block for this!
