I have updated the Beta Version to 3.4A. Why the letter, and not 3.5? Well, there is no actual new content, just a couple fixes for things that were not working correctly.
What's Fixed?
- Storage Locker on ship now seems to retain all its contents between saves/loads
- Storage caches on planets - I found a potential cause for their disappearances, so they should remain persistent now
- Terrain Glitches - I have a version of the game in which I am refining and improving the terrain generator, but for now I have limited the max terrain size to 14, which seems fairly stable
- Blueprint materials - now when you use up a material it will properly remove it from your inventory, instead of just setting its quantity to zero
- I fixed a major problem where planet files were written incorrectly, and would not reload. The loading bar would go up, but the little number would be stuck at 992 and it would say "regenerating terrain features". I'm not sure if this issue existed in the previous version, or if it was something I introduced while "fixing" the terrain generator, but hopefully it will not cause any more trouble.
As always, thanks for all your help in play-testing this early access game. With a procedural galaxy like the one in Star Explorers, it's virtually impossible for me to test all the different combinations and potential outcomes. Having kind people like you (this means you) play-testing the game, makes it possible for me to continue working on it consistently.
