This update is shaped almost entirely by four of you: a request for a second-screen view, two players who wanted the original text visible, one very detailed Russian review, and a stream of reports and ideas from one dedicated player. Thank you — this is what your feedback builds.
NEW: A translation panel. You can now show translations in a separate, movable window — on a second monitor or anywhere you like — as original-and-translation pairs with scrollable history. Three display modes: the classic overlay, panel only (the game screen stays untouched), or both at once for a bilingual view. Find it under Settings, Display.
FIX: Old translations leave the screen faster. When a dialogue line changes, the previous translation used to sit there until the new one was ready — up to three seconds with slower engines. The app now clears the outdated text the moment it detects the line has genuinely changed, roughly halving how long stale translations linger, with zero added flicker: HUD counters and unchanged lines are explicitly protected.
NEW: Local AI engines now remember your game. When you translate with Ollama or LM Studio, the app builds a per-game sheet of character names and terms from your own translation history and quietly shows the model only the entries that appear in the current text. In our measurements this made recurring character names keep one consistent spelling almost every time instead of drifting between variants — with no measurable speed cost. Fully local, like everything else.
FIX: Two long-standing bugs, both found thanks to player reports. Reopening Settings while the app was running and pressing Start again could silently close the whole program — a subtle startup crash that existed for many versions and hit hardest if you had downloaded many offline models. It is fixed and now covered by an automated relaunch test. And manual corrections you make now take effect for the rest of the session immediately — previously they were saved but only applied after a restart.
FIX: Clearer language handling. If your source language is set to the default and the offline engine keeps returning text unchanged — which happens when the game's language does not match — the app now tells you once and points you to the right setting, instead of failing silently. The settings screen is also honest now: the offline engine does not auto-detect the source language, and it says so. Spanish-to-Portuguese setups were the most affected. Also, if you launch on Windows 11 with Smart App Control and see error 0x11C7, check the store page notes — that is a Windows protection prompt, not a virus.
