Dear Players,
I have been working to replicate the stability issues that some report on my local machines without much success. However, looking through the bug reports / crash logs, I have tried switching the multi-threaded physics engine to a single-threaded approach.
This should provide more robust support, as the physics engine is (hopefully) less likely to look for gems that are no longer there.
Having tested it locally, the performance cost seems negligible (especially compared to potential stability gains), but I'm going to keep exploring and potentially make the multi-threaded version a launch option for those without stability issues.
I have another idea to further improve stability but may take a little more time to implement. I'm going to keep exploring but will stay in communication as I improve the situation.
Other changes (minor):
The large tower of defeated enemies kept showing up even after unlocking everything, this patch should stop that.
[Visual] Mole Meat shovel and handle has a new piece of artwork
[Visual] The "Shrinking" enemy was using the wrong artwork, it is now the floating plant bulb instead of the mushroom with coins on its head ("Greedy" enemy).
(Please also see patch notes 1.0.0b for other gameplay adjustments.)
Thank you,
