UPDATE v1.0.5 (Beta)
After some much need post-launch rest, development is back in full force! First off we are adding to our previous rebalance of the game to further smooth out currency acquisition, and to create a more satisfying difficulty curve no matter which path you choose. We'll continue to adjust this with a few small updated before pushing it public sometime next week.
This isn't the end of our updates! (Read below)
Balance
Reworked how Armor works. Previously Armor was a flat damage reduction, now the incoming damage is halved per 300 Armor points.
Added upgrades that increase Special Currency drops.
Special Currency is now also awarded for completing levels.
Adjusted XP gain to better match level progression.
Adjusted XP costs for Pikemen upgrades.
Increased Tower Damage and added more Extra Projectile upgrades.
Increased Arrow Spell Damage significantly.
Increased Unit XP gain slightly.
Adjusted Difficulty Scaling for more consistent progression.
Units now gain a small Armor bonus on repeated level attempts.
Level Bosses no longer respawn at full Health after taking damage.
Reduced the number of flies spawned by Frog Mages and increased their spawn cooldown.
QOL
Increased zooming speed in the Skill Tree.
The camera now transitions to the bridge when it is repaired.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug affecting Scout respawns.
Fixed a bug that caused music to stop abruptly.
Improved performance when displaying Damage Numbers.
Fixed bugs that occurred when no Spell, Aura, or Special Unit was selected.
Fixed a bug that prevented Journal alerts from being cleared.
Fixed a bug that prevented the Cursor/Automatic Toggle setting from loading correctly.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The plan has always been to support the game post-launch with new content! Over the next month we'll be running more frequent beta updates, adding additional polish and testing fun new endgame additions.
And with the Steam Auto-Battler Fest coming up next month, we'd like to build up to a more substantial addition! We don't want to share too much too soon - but the plan is to debut a new Mode via the beta before the end of the month. This will give you an entirely new way to play, and should be a welcome addition to anyone who preferred the gameplay loop and progression of the demo. That's all I can share for now!
The dream has been to take game development full-time. And your support of Crown Siege has afforded us the opportunity to go all in. We plan to make the most of it!
Thank you all!!
