Crown Siege v1.0.1_a

Your Feedback

Hi everyone. Thank you for the feedback so far! We are working on adjusting the balance of the game.

We're keeping a very close eye on reviews, Steam discussions and our Discord. It's clear that some players preferred the more linear progression of the demo. Then, even among those who like the new systems, still find they'll need to grind in later levels.

Today we jumped from a few dozens playtesters to several thousand (Thank you for that by the way)! The many permutations of upgrade order, level choice, army composition, right down to spawn control all mean this game can be played 1000 different ways. And today has shed a light on how quickly the balance can fall out of whack. We have to apologize for this. Know we are prepared for this to will be an ongoing process! We are taking in as much feedback as possible to better tune the progression.

What's new in v1.0.1_a:

  • All unit types can now attack flying units.

  • Difficulty scaling is slightly lowered.

  • Late game difficulty is capped now, which should feel less brutal.

We hope that this update alleviates some of the problems for the latter group, struggling with the grind.

Coming Soon

As for the former group - those who may have preferred the more linear, streamlined progression of the demo - we are already toying with an alternate mode that should feel closer to the demo experience. Hopefully having an option will allow both camps of players to enjoy the game in whichever way they find most fun.

Thank you all for your patience and input!
