Hello Commanders,

Dinner is now served! Feeding the Future, the first DLC for Surviving Mars: Relaunched, is available now.

Your colonists are hungry for more than survival! Feeding the Future adds new depth to food and production systems, with expanded management options, fresh ingredients, and a variety of meals that hopefully will make even the pickiest foodie comforted and sane. Build a successful food network, satisfy your colony’s needs, and overcome the unique challenges of fine dining on the Red Planet.

New Key Features

Farming on Mars

Expand your agricultural production with new crops, animals, and ways to grow ingredients. Buildings such as the Small Farm and Insect Farm open new possibilities, while different farming opportunities on the Surface and Underground encourage you to adapt your strategy.

Serve Up Martian Delicacies

Give your colonists something more exciting than basic rations. Transform home-grown ingredients into eight newly introduced delicacies that influence comfort, morale, health, and sanity. Sugar, spices, bread, and cheese, what more could a martian wish for?

Create a Colony with Taste

A range of new culinary buildings are introduced. Bake fresh loaves at the Bakery, keep busy districts fed with Fast Food Restaurants, or offer colonists an elevated dining experience at the Gourmet Restaurant

Coffee Makes the Colony Go Round

Give colonists a welcome boost with Coffee Vending Machines and Barista Cafes. As the only delicacy that affects sanity, coffee could prove essential when life on Mars starts taking its toll. New food-related traits also introduce individual tastes and preferences, rewarding colonies that keep a varied menu on offer.

Define the Future of Food on Mars

Use new food-focused laws and Commander Profiles to shape how your colony produces, processes, and serves its meals. Develop a food system that goes beyond survival and helps turn the Red Planet into a true home.

Free Update - Services & Science

Available now alongside Feeding the Future, the major Free Services & Science Update brings a redesigned research system, changes to services and colonist stats, new technologies and content, plus a wide range of gameplay and interface improvements.

At its heart is the new Research Board, which puts the direction of your colony’s technological progress in your hands. Choose your path, adapt your priorities, and build toward a future that can unfold differently with every colony.
