Celebrating 1,000 Happy Chefs! Hjalte earns new shoes!

Hello, chefs!

Today is a very happy day! We reached a milestone we never thought possible for our little omelet cooking game. 1,000 positive reviews on Steam! Thank you so much to every chef who's taken the time to leave a review, it helps the game reach more chefs!

Shortly after launch I made a promise to Hjalte and today that promise was kept. This video tells the story

We've also added Steam Community Items, including trading cards, badges, profile backgrounds, and more! You'll earn trading cards just for playing Omelet You Cook and you can spend Steam points or whatever they're called for some sick backgrounds and emotes.

Just look how beautiful this profile background is!

We also had time to put the demo back up on Steam! Go tell your friends to check it out!

Now that I have my own Steam Deck (shoutout Valve), I've made some improvements to Steam Deck. Firstly, touch screen now works as it should. Secondly, I've adjusted click-drop to be a bit more logical.

Hjalte and I will be taking the next couple weeks a bit easier. My main priority is fixing any bugs you report and listening to your feedback so I understand what I should prioritize for the coming updates.

Lastly, we're running a bracket to determine the MOST BELOVED ingredient amongst all chefs. Please join us on Discord and check out the poll channel to get involved. Since there's 144 ingredients, we'll be running March Madness-style brackets for each food category and then pit the winners of each category against one another to determine the ultimate champion.

Join us on Discord to vote for your favorite ingredient.

I'm convinced y'all are the nicest community on Steam. Thanks for supporting us, chefs! See y'all in March

Happy cooking,

-Chef Schu
