I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the Sheriff pinball machine from my old pinball collection. It'll still take a little while before it's finished, but I've already made quite a bit of progress.
Since the current score display has a different format (it’s wider than the old one), I had to adjust all the animations—basically recreate them—to fill the display.
I just finished that.
The playfield had to be rearranged a bit, since I’m now using a standard cabinet and don’t have as much space. But that’s mostly done too. It just needs some fine tuning.
I’m now using a different font, since the K and H were too similar in the old font and the text wasn’t very legible overall. Of course, that means I have to rework all the textures here as well.
The programming is already well underway, and now that I’ve finished the animations, I can build the functions properly.
The objects and their corresponding textures will remain more or less the same. I just had to tweak the wireframe ramps a bit; the final adjustments won’t take much longer.
So all in all, I should have the pinball machine finished in a month.
That’s not too bad, it’s the best time of year to be away from the computer anyway. ːsteamhappyː
That’s the latest update.
I’ll check in again as soon as there’s something new.
Have fun!
