Hello all! As release approaches I'm about to release the promotional Demo for the game and more of these updates will take place as we get closer to launch.
Demo release date
Our public beta demo of the game is releasing for the Real Time Strategy Fest on January 20th and will include the following features ahead of our launch in late March.
- Tutorial missions explaining basic mechanics and main game modes
- Human and Undead playable factions (Elves, Orcs, and Dwarves included in full game)
- 2 Conquest Maps against either bots or other players in couch coop
- 1 wave survival Siege Mode Map.
The Demo page can be found here
This week were taking a look at an overview of the 3 game modes featured in Broad Sword.
Conquest Mode

The main goal of Conquest is to secure the majority of objective points on the map to gradually reduce their remaining supply points, but you'll need to make sure to capture enough spawn points to dominate the battlefield and maintain control. You can play against bots and/or your friends in local multiplayer.
Siege Mode

In Siege maps you must defend your castle by securing its spawn points and selecting and positioning your troops carefully before the enemy attacks from waves of siege towers trying to take over the fortification. Victory against armies will unlock harder versions of those armies so test your skill and see how long you can last!
Campaign Mode
The Campaign takes all 10 conquest maps and bundles them into an overworld hex grid that the 5 factions fight for control over. Any map tiles you control provide manpower and additional troop types to your battles while you control them to spread over the map and conquer the world as your own! More will be shown as the game approaches full release.
