This update brings a series of interface improvements to enhance readability and add more options for those playing with mouse and touchpad as well as a whole series of bug fixes and general refinements.
Interface
The "middle click" build menu has now been expanded to add quick room selection. It's placement under the mouse is now more adaptive to reduce cases of overlaps with other GUI elements and info tips will now hide when using the menu to avoid visual clutter.
The "middle click" build menu can also be now opened from small contextual arrows above the build buttons as an alternative to holding the middle mouse button in the room or equipment modes.
Other panels around the game have also been given background fades and contrast adjustments to make them more readable against different scenes and lighting in the environment. Clicks are more context aware so cases of misclicking causing accidental object placements or orders should be rarer and less frustrating.
Issue fixes:
When stacking work shelf walls colonists could wedge themselves behind larger pieces of equipment and become stuck. This would rectify itself on load, or moving/destroying the object. However if unnoticed this could cause them to eventually starve, dehydrate or freeze to death. Now they will no longer attempt to enter those spaces.
Added a lock in the tutorial so you can no longer delete room pieces outside of room construction mode.
Tutorial rooms now need to be valid before the tutorial continues.
Fixed a data corruption in the text when a colonist suggested clearing the base entrance of foliage. This appears to be caused by a genuine case of bit rot!
Fixed some pixel misalignments on GUI icon art.
Several plants meant for Medical were in the wrong build lists, so you can now add them to you medical rooms.
A few potential crash issues have been found and fixed.
Major known Issues:
On the tutorial, players can delete room pieces in rooms after having completed the objective to build said room. This can cause issues with then placing required objects in the room and potentially soft lock the tutorial if the player is aggressively clicky.
