Hey everyone,
We’ve just pushed out a critical hotfix for some major bugs. Here’s what’s been fixed and added:
1. Those weird bugs you've been seeing—like invisible buildings, broken aim, missing map pieces, etc.—were all caused by a messed-up value initialization. That’s now fixed.
2. Fixed the bug where the difficulty sliders on the start screen weren’t working.
3. Added a sleeping bag. You can craft it in the F1 crafting menu. Place it anywhere, and it becomes your new spawn point.
4. Increased flashlight brightness so you can see better at night. We’ll be improving it further later—making it automatically dim in dark caves so it’s not blinding while you’re mining underground.
5. Significantly reduced the distance between different biomes. No more boring long runs just to reach a new environment.
6. Every character now starts with a super handy dagger and a shield. This should make the early game feel way better.
7. Greatly reduced the material cost for the starting workbench, so you can get going much faster.
8. Early-game iron ingots were too hard to get because iron ore was rare. Now you can use Scrap Iron as a substitute, and we've made it more obvious that you get Scrap Iron by dismantling cars.
9. Fixed the blurry graphics issue.
10. Increased the chance of finding military and police loot in military supply crates.
11. Zombie hordes will now only attack at night.
We’ve got another patch coming soon, which will fix even more issues—like zombie sounds coming from the wrong direction, items being too hard to pick up, and the map shortcut key not remapping properly.
We’re working hard to squash every bug. Please bear with us a little longer—we’ll get there, and the game will feel so much better. Stay tuned for more updates. Thanks, everyone!
