Next Fest Additional Content!
First of all we want to thank you all for all your amazing support with feedback, big reports, and ideas! 🙌
With that being said there has been some addition content that is being added to the game for all of you to experience during Next Fest!
NEW MAP
The secondary map, Twin Fortress, can now be unlocked by completing 10 days on Greenwood Keep on the Bam or Kaboom difficulty setting. This will also introduce a new leaderboard and a new mini event. See 🎟community-events for more details.
New Pause Menu Features
Three new features have been added to your Pause Menu!
• First, you will be able to start your practice mode as opposed to running back and forth to the dummy outside.
• Second, you will be able to check your score! Now you can track your progress while trying to push for those top leaderboard spots.
• Third, you will be able to check the recipes of items! This means no more having to run to a particular item to prompt a recipe! Simply go to the pause screen and look up what you want to make! This can be accomplished if you press (a) on controller or space / enter on keyboard when selecting a recipe. This will also prompt the recipe to be shown in on-screen info bar.
Cannons in the Store
There has been some rework to the store! You can now get regular and double cannons at higher tiers! Now you can upgrade all the store slots and still receive regular and double cannons on Tiers 4 and 5. Reminder: This demo still is capped at tier 4.
Seeded Stores and Totems
The store and totem selections will now be seeded. This will help maintain balance within your runs and keep "cheeses" such as reloading the game to get a more favorable set of options.
Totem Rebalancing
There has been a lot of new balancing and reworking of a lot of the totems! This will change a lot of how things happens on your runs and should unlock a larger array or options for you as the player. Choose different ones, mix and match, and see what you can acomplish!
Speedrunning Is Coming!
The livesplit feature has been added to the game! This will give all of you an official way to start speeding through the days to top the charts on speedrun.com! The category is still currently being setup and authenticated with the website. Initially this will be runs to day 20 on kaboom difficulty. However, there will be more details as the game gets verified and things get balanced.
Additional Fixes
• Bugs that have been found/reported have been fixed
• Rewording to totems descriptions
That is all for now! We hope you have an amazing weekend enjoying all the new content and fixes that is in this patch! Please don't forget to report any additional bugs you find, share your gameplay feedback, and share all the fun ideas that you have!
Keep up the amazing work, Keepers! 💪
