Hey everyone!
I'm thrilled to finally release the Modding Update for Dawnfolk!
🎉 The big news? Modding is here!
You can now create your own mods or download community-made ones to customize your experience and expand the game’s possibilities.
This update also includes:
- Tons of bug fixes thanks to community reports
- Major performance boosts (it could probably run on a toaster now!)
🔧 Featured Mods
To kick things off, I’ve made two official mods:
The Light Spire: A powerful new science building for the Light Craters.
The Icylands: A snowy, challenging new level featuring the Iskaar, a new race that you can ally with and customize.
There’s also a cheat menu mod made by a community member, and more mods are already in the works!
I can’t wait to see what kind of creative ideas you all bring to life.
📥 How to Install Mods
- Head to the Steam Workshop
- Subscribe to the mods you want
- They’ll show up in-game automatically! You can enable or disable them via the Main Menu into Options and Mods.
✏️ Want to Create Your Own Mod?
I’ve put together a detailed guide with examples to help you get started. Whether you’re tweaking balance, adding content, or making something totally wild, it’s all possible now.
Thanks again for playing and supporting the game.
Take care,
– Darenn
