Patch 0.5.0.4b

Hey everyone,

Another small patch with a very large impact for users with lower-end hardware such as the Steam Deck. With this update, you should see a massive improvement to PIP scope rendering. The GPU load when using a scope has been reduced by around 80% due to a bug fix and several under-the-hood improvements.

In addition, weather effects have been further optimised without any loss of visual quality, so overall the game should run noticeably smoother with this update.

Graphics

  • Improved post-processing exposure to make the image cleaner

  • Improved legibility of input glyph prompts

Improvements

  • Greatly improved PIP scope performance across the board, particularly on lower-end hardware such as the Steam Deck

  • Greatly improved performance of weather effects

  • Improved the resolution rendering system used by PIP scopes

  • Improved the spawner distance check function to better detect when enemies should spawn in relation to the player's position

  • D-pad can now be used to quickly snap between UI elements

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug causing PIP scopes to render at a higher resolution than intended

  • Fixed AI flashlights not always facing the correct direction

  • Fixed controller leaning requiring multiple presses to trigger

  • Fixed tutorial pop-ups not always showing the correct glyph when using a controller
