Native Hunter Development Roadmap

Native Hunter — Development Roadmap

Native Hunter is still in active development and is now entering a new phase of improvements, adjustments, and expansion.

The game already has a playable survival foundation, including island exploration, resource gathering, crafting, building, combat, animals, and multiplayer/co-op. From this point forward, the focus is to strengthen that foundation, improve stability, and expand the core systems to make the experience deeper, more dangerous, and more rewarding.

The first stage of this roadmap is already in development and is expected to reach players in the coming days. After that, future updates will be released periodically, following this development plan and the feedback from the community.

Already Available in the Game

Native Hunter already includes the core systems needed for a survival and exploration experience.

Current foundation:

  • Island exploration

  • Resource gathering

  • Crafting

  • Building

  • Combat

  • Animals

  • Survival systems

  • Multiplayer / co-op

This roadmap shows how these systems will be improved and expanded in future updates.

Stage 1 — Technical Foundation and Multiplayer

Status: currently in development.

This stage focuses on improving the general stability of the game and preparing a stronger foundation for the next updates.

Planned for this stage:

  • Important bug fixes

  • Performance optimization

  • Stability improvements

  • Save system improvements

  • Network optimization for multiplayer

  • Co-op experience adjustments

  • General quality-of-life improvements

The goal is to make Native Hunter more stable, more reliable, and more comfortable to play both solo and with friends.

Stage 2 — Progression and Boss Summoning

Progression will become more connected to exploration and discovery.

As players find new resources, materials, plants, animal parts, and special items, new recipes and crafting possibilities will be unlocked.

Boss summoning will also be part of this progression. Bosses will work as major progression challenges, requiring preparation before combat and offering important rewards to help players move forward in their journey.

Planned:

  • Discovery-based progression

  • Recipes unlocked by finding new items

  • Crafting more connected to player evolution

  • Summonable bosses

  • Rewards tied to progression

Stage 3 — Tribes, Camps, and Raids

Enemy tribes will have a stronger presence on the island, creating more threats during exploration.

Tribal camps will be added as risk-and-reward points across the island. Hostile tribes will also be able to raid the player’s base, making building, defense, and preparation more important.

Planned:

  • Random tribal camps

  • Campfires, tents, and small enemy groups

  • Hostile encounters during exploration

  • Tribal raids against the player’s base

  • More reasons to protect and improve your home

Stage 4 — Weather, Shelter, and Structures

Weather will have a stronger impact on survival.

Storms will be able to damage the player if they stay exposed for too long. Lightning may also strike the world and damage structures such as roofs and buildings.

Planned:

  • Dangerous storms

  • Player damage during severe weather

  • Lightning during storms

  • Damage to roofs and structures

  • More importance for shelter, maintenance, and base protection

Stage 5 — Taming, Mounts, and New Islands

Tamed animals will become more useful, and mounts will be improved to support exploration, transportation, and combat.

After that, Native Hunter will expand with new islands, bringing more places to explore and more reasons to keep evolving beyond the starting island.

Planned:

  • Improved taming system

  • More useful tamed animals

  • More functional mounts

  • Mounts for transportation

  • Mounted combat support

  • New islands

  • New regions to explore
