This is Update 2's first patch with a couple of fixes and improvements! Thank you to everyone who's helping to test the latest builds over on Discord, to everyone who's done an Adaptory stream, and to everyone who has crash reporting enabled! Please keep on reporting any issues <3

You can now customise the look of your explorers!

New features

• You can now tweak the look of individual explorers in the new game panel (hair, skin, shirt, pants)

• Selecting the background panel automatically switches the overlay to the breathability overlay, so you can quickly see space exposure

• The room overlay now displays an icon for possible room sources (e.g. a bed for a bedroom) that aren't satisfied (e.g. the room is too small or too large)

Balance

• Up to 10 more data chips are generated buried close to the crashed ship, depending on difficulty level

• The world generator generates more blobs of water and oxygen closer to the crash site, to help out the early game

  • Relaxed difficulty: 2 blobs of oxygen, 2 blobs of water

  • Hardcore difficulty: none

• Replaced "blocked by high pressure" overlay icon with a new "blocked pipe" overlay icon for pumps, filters, and other buildings with a pipe connection

• Increased random event test frequency from once every 0.214 days to 0.314 days

Internal

• Beds are now 2x2 instead of 2x1, so that you can't build a bed that immediately becomes inaccessible

• Made the yellow tutorial UI highlight faster to be slightly more noticeable

• Added room types' minimum and maximum size to the in-game database

Fixes

• Fixed a crash if a liquid cooler was supplied with water that immediately flashed to steam before the liquid cooler could convert it into steam

• Fixed a crash that could occur if Escape was pressed while a dropdown was open and the parent user interface had just been closed

• Fixed a crash that would occur if clicking on a priority toggle in the priorities panel, and then pressing enter

• Fixed a rare crash that could occur if an extremely hot item was dropped and immediately tried to phase change

• Fixed a rare crash that could occur in the gas network simulation, due to a floating point rounding error

• Fixed world generation not generating the correct number of elements in blob generation

• Fixed the ship tile immediately above the initial door not being easily selectable

• Fixed a glass furnace not being suppliable if one of the slots was partially satisfied

• Fixed a very rare crash if Escape was pressed on a dialog that had been rendered, but hadn't yet been drawn to the screen

• Fixed a crash that would occur if a constructor contained 100kg granite (for a fuel cell) but was switched to creating an oxygen candle

• Fixed explorers sometimes animating a jump through an impassable tile

• Fixed explorers sometimes jumping across a floor, rather than walking across it, after jumping down to the left
