This update adds the following...
Updated helicopter flight model that reduces the number of rigidbodies used from 5 (9 in the case of the Chinook) to just 1 with no loss in fidelity. While it probably won't make any noticeable difference at the moment, it will in the future when the game is dealing with many helicopters flying at the same time.
Optimised the smoke trails left by rockets and missiles so that the particle count is reduced by half. I've managed to do this by using stretched billboards which help fill in the gaps between particles. In my opinion they look better too. This definitely does have an impact on the missiles which used to drop frame rates quite a bit.
Update the burning fire and smoke effects on destroyed vehicles. These to now use slightly fewer particles to generate the same effect.
Updated the HUD so there is now a pitch ladder. It's not a full ladder as it only goes to +-40 degrees. I thought it might clutter the hud a bit too much but actually I think it is fine - feedback welcome as always ːsteamhappyː
Motion blur effect is now working correctly again. It can be seen when flying low to the terrain and also on the spinning blades. It's subtle but definitely there without making every moving into a blurry mess.
HUD MSAA is also now working correctly again for nice anti-aliased vector graphics.
Fixed the vehicles in Operation Lightning so they align to the terrain correctly.
Fixed floating villages and other random installations outside of the sector system so they now align to the terrain correctly as well.
