Okay, so, it has been a crazy 12 hours, and my apologies to all users excited to use the new update. I had included what's called an "Assembly Reference" to a Namespace (thing that holds Classes, which are an Object oriented programming language thing) that I wasn't even using, and that also forced users to download a windows-only framework. Firstly, this app is developed to be cross-platform, so that should have been my first clue. Secondly, i wasn't even using the Namepsace I included!
For those curious, I had these lines in my .csproj file (Visual Studio project file) for Midinous.
This forced users to download and install a windows-only runtime environment thinking that the app was a Windows Forms app, which it isn't. So even though I provided the right version runtime installer in the Steam directories, it wouldn't have mattered.
Probably, most users at this point have the correct framework installed and didn't even need a new one, but I'm including it anyway, as it shouldn't cause a problem, and if you downloaded the recent updates, likely you had it install for you. Hopefully we can pin this issue and put it to bed.
Happy Monday, never stop creating.
Cheers,
Jay
