Hi everyone!
The full release version of Operator is now here! Purchase a copy on Steam today for the low price of $0.99 USD (regional pricing may vary)! I hope everyone enjoys the game and continues to support it as further development is made. Below are some FAQs:
Why this pricing structure of the base game and day one DLC instead of it being one item?
I wanted to keep the base game still very accessible to everyone, while also offering some additional content to those who have enjoyed the game and are looking for more. This way, you can decide if you like the game without spending a fair amount of money for something you may or may not enjoy. Worst case scenario is you're out $0.99 and not $5.99 :)
With an official release, does this mean that the current product is final and will only be receiving DLC and minor updates?
No. I intend to continually update the base game with bug fixes, mechanical improvements, and introduce/modify game mechanics to create a better experience while also adding new maps and content with DLC. Development is still very much active, and you should expect to see updates on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. There are still some major bugs in the game that certain players are experiencing, so I'm working on getting those fixed.
How big is Chemical Games Studio, and why is it that certain basic features are taking a long time to get added?
Currently, Chemical Games Studio is just myself and Operator is a solo project. Everything from coding to game design to level design is done by me. I do get assets such as sounds/music, models, and textures from online websites. Attribution is done in the credits section of the game when required and follows the licensing agreement under which that asset is licensed.
