Life Post-Demo-Launch, Settings Menu, Banner Emblem, & Rune Stacking Fix

Greetings mercenaries,

Life Post-Demo-Launch

The demo launch went incredibly well, pulling in 14k new wishlists in just 4 days. Thank you so much for the support, it’s deeply appreciated.

We took a bit of time to get back on our feet after that rush. And following the positive reception, a new shader artist and programmer were added to the team. This extra manpower enables all sorts of new mechanics and visual upgrades people have been asking for that wouldn't have been possible before, and you'll be seeing the effects soon.

We’re getting back to a consistent development cycle now, so expect an update each week detailing that week's developments.

Settings Menu

Following your feedback, a proper Settings menu has been added. This will also help with performance improvement requests, allowing for better tuning on lower-spec setups.

Banner Emblem Customization

Color can now be set directly on the emblem banner, both for your own mercenary company and enemy factions. Fun fact: this was actually an idea suggested by Splattercat.

Rune Effect Stacking Fix

Certain rune effects had a bug where the effect wouldn't stack correctly if the same rune was used twice. This has been resolved, and now Inspire can be properly overpowered.

The build with these changes is expected next Friday on the test branch alongside several other changes that will be part of next week's post.

See you next week, where we'll be sharing big upgrades coming to company origins.
