Hi friend!🐈
With Halloween officially behind us, we are now venturing into the last stretch of 2025. Today we want to show you the progress we're making with the development of our upcoming game Cat Cafe Manager 2😻
🏘️Paving the Streets of Limeline Village
We welcome you to Limeline Village, a fairytale neighbourhood tucked into the city of Covestadt! It's lined with canals and narrow streets overgrown with greenery, with colorful historic buildings throughout. Wander and get lost in winding alleyways, uncovering Limeline's magical history and all the secrets it holds... 👀🌳
To shape Limeline Village, our artists Carmen and Esmeé draw inspiration from the charm of historic Dutch design and city architecture (without ever forgetting to also sprinkle a touch of magic into every concept sketch and digital brushstroke✨).
Take a look at some of the concept art they created:

⭐The Magic Is In The Details
Of course, a city is more than its buildings. To truly bring it to life, it’s the little things that tell its story without the need for a single word. Esmeé took it upon herself to really zoom in and design the details that, together, breathe life into the world of Cat Cafe Manager 2.
Traffic signs, storm drains, lightning rods... even litter!🍌 It’s these aspects that make cities feel truly lived in!🩷

🟨Shaping a City
We zoomed in quite a bit... now let's zoom back out! To create a playable city for you character to interact in, we need more than engaging art.
In order to test the proportions of the houses, lengths of streets and overall fun of exploring the city, we have started by creating a grid of grey 3D blocks, shaping up a simplified version of the environment of the city. This process is literally called "greyboxing" and even though it is still at very early stages, we wanted to show you how it looks like so far:
Greyboxing of the West Alleyways
Greyboxing of the Central Square
Greyboxing of the East Canal
The next steps will be to bring life into those grey blocks with art, colours and plenty of details! 🏡💗
Aaand... that's it for now! Let us know your thoughts and wishes about Limeline Village in the comment section below or on Discord!
We'd love to stay in touch with you through all our socials (BlueSky, Instagram, Reddit, Discord and TikTok)!
Please make sure to wishlist Cat Cafe Manager 2: Big City Bliss on Steam if you haven't done so already.🩷
We hope you enjoyed seeing what we've been working on and wish you a beautiful month of November!🫶
Let's talk more soon!
