Hey guys! This is both a major-update and a nothing-update at the same time. No functionality has changed, but it took a ton of work to get to this point. Presets are now JSON based! I'll just copy and paste the in-Keysight changelog for this one to explain, but please do get in touch if you experience any weirdness in this transition. This is why we do betas, after all!
--- Changes from 1.3.0 preview 2 to 1.3.0 preview 3 ---
All presets now save to readable and editable JSON files rather than compressed to an array inside a proprietary Unreal Engine .sav file. These new preset JSONs can be found under "../Appdata/Local/Keysight/Saved/Presets"
If you're unfamiliar with JSONs, these can be opened with any text editor like notepad despite the scary filetype name. HOWEVER, warning: these are one-line unformatted JSONs to keep file size down. You may want to consider using something like Visual Studio Code and applying formatting if you actually want to read and edit the JSON file directly
Due to this, presets now cannot contain duplicate names or characters that cannot be used in filenames
Additionally, any time a save function is called, all current saved files will be moved to the "../Appdata/Local/Keysight/Saved/Presets (backup)" folder before new saves are written. This gives one level of emergency backup, should anything go wrong in the save process or save was called accidentally. I still encourage everyone to make manual backups of save files if you have presets you care deeply about!
Added a new "system alerts" splash screen displaying any messages from actions like automatically importing old saves
Removed saving and loading from DonorPreset.sav as presets can now be shared much more directly via individual JSONs
