Hello all you newly joined Dinodrifters out there!
Welcome to the first newsletter of Dinodrifters' Early Access period.
So much has happened in this last week! The amount of interest Dinodrifters has attained has warmed my heart greatly. However, this is only the beginning! Dinodrifters is going to receiving an update in December fixing the known bugs that have since been identified.
Once that is done, as long as no other surprises are brought to light, then Dinodrifters is going to release fully in December, just before Christmas, hopefully.
Further down the road, I plan to add several new areas/regions in the game based on further fossil sites. While this is subject to change, my current plan is to add the Judith River Formation, home of Parasaurolophus and Albertosaurus, as a playable map and add a new gameplay feature: time anomalies.
Time anomalies are portals that can randomly spawn in during a game of Free Mode and allow animals to players and other animals to travel to a different map entirely. This will be toggleable at game start and allow players to leave their map for a new destination one, making them surely one-of-a-kind in that region! Time anomalies will passively spawn animals from its assigned destination region over time. Imagine a Tyrannosaurus hunting a Mammoth!
That update should come after Dinodrifters is out of Early Access.
That's all for this week! Enjoy Dinodrifters and make sure to uncover the plot of those dreaded Rogues!
May the Drift keep you safe!
