Don't worry - VR will be still there. You will get free conversion to Ultimate Fishing Simulator + Free VR DLC. All VR DLCs you own will be also available for you in the non-VR version of the game.
Title sound scary? I know but don't worry. Here are detailed explanations.
- Game Withdrawal: On January 19, 2024, "Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR" (1137540) will be removed from sale with all DLCs. This means you won't be able to buy it after this date, and it won't get any more updates.
- Free Conversion for Everyone: EVERY PLAYER will get a FREE upgrade to the NON-VR version of the game: "Ultimate Fishing Simulator" (Steam ID: 468920), including the free VR DLC (Steam ID: 1137540).
- DLC Conversion: Also, any DLCs you've bought for the VR version? Don't worry – they'll all be converted to the NON-VR version at no extra cost.
Remember UFS NON-VR + VR DLC will work the same as the VR standalone app with this difference that all players will be able to play together.
You probably have some questions.
We decided to take this step to provide everyone same updates and finally remove the gap between UFS VR and the NON-VR version. So in short:
- All players will be finally able to play together, with no more restrictions.
- Faster updates for VR (no more waiting for an update, when non-vr players already have it)
- Shorter & easier work over new features, faster builds
- Access to the new version of UFS once it is released
What about your progress/saves?
We will prepare a special .bat script that everyone who would like to transfer their saves from the VR app to the NON-VR app. You will just need to run it and it will automatically copy all files to the proper folder, so all your saves should be transferred without any loss! :)
What about the upcoming Florida DLC?
If you buy it for VR, you will get a free conversion to non-VR version.
