A HUGE thank you to anyone who sees these updates and contributed feedback on our Discord server. We're extremely encouraged by all the initial positive feedback by the group of players that we've spoken to so far and we hope we can deliver on your expectations for the full game.
TLDR Summary:
Food Capacity Expansions: The player's food capacity starts off smaller but can be upgraded through expansions from the shop in towns. Large food capacity will support larger monster teams.
Continued Boss/EXP Balancing: Adjustments have been made to make battling bosses a bit more necessary in Sandbox Mode. XP earnings is increased vs higher level monsters, but monsters more than 20 levels less than yours will net you much less XP. Battling bosses will consequently be more challenging, since it will be harder to grind levels much beyond the level of the next boss. More changes in this area are likely.
Battle Hotkeys: In combat, moves can now be selected with keyboard keys instead of just the mouse. WASD and Space select monster or player moves. 1, 2 and 3 target enemies and Z, X, and C target your monsters. This can drastically accelerate battle battle once you acclimate to the different style of interacting with combat.
Customize Difficulty Mid Game: Difficulty can be configured mid game while in a town as opposed to only when starting a new game.
